Giraffe Build
An excellent indoor ice-breaker, where the team competes against the clock, and with only limited resources is challenged to achieve the highest of results. The team must build a free standing Giraffe using only the materials provided, with the added difficulty of balancing weights on its back once the build is complete.
Objective
To construct the tallest free-standing giraffe possible from the limited resources provided.
The Challenges
The team will be confronted with many challenges during this exercise, mainly due to the dynamics of their team. However, we have included a few extra:
- Limited resources
- The giraffe must be free standing
- Time is restricted
- Can only build one giraffe
- Must hold the weight of a golf ball
- Must stay standing for over 10 seconds
Skills Required
An indoor challenge where the team has limited resources, limited time and an overflow of ideas. They must control them to gain the highest results. Some of the key skills required are highlighted below:
