The opening Executive Quiz Night was hosted at Hilton Glasgow, and saw seven highly-charged and highly-competitive teams prepare to do battle in a bid to answer as many quiestions correctly as possible and take home the much-coveted Team Challenge Company Winners Trophy. The action was set to be fast paced and furious throughout, with some huge scores being clocked up during the Evening Entertainment. Controversy surrounded many of the teams, but none more so than J-Lo's Jewels, the biggest cheaters we have ever met!
As the Evening Entertainment came to a close on the opening night, scores were checked and verified and positions were awarded. Wooden Spoon Number 1 went to the appropriately named Table Won, who finished bottom of the pile with 3300 points. With the scores so tight at the top, a big Hit or Miss Finale was called into action to seperate the wheat from the chaff and crown our first Executive Quiz Night Winner. Nerves jangled throughout the room, and J-Lo's Jewels couldn't handle the pressure, leaving the mighty Expendables Team upstanding to collect their magnificent prizes.
Evening Entertainment Night Number 2 soon rolled round, this time the venue being the fantastic Westerwood Hotel in Cumbernauld. This time nine teams would slug it out through the Executive Quiz Rounds, with once again the gleaming Team Challenge Company Winners Trophy up for grabs. Would Ladies and the Tramps walk home champions, or perhaps Team Midas Touch. From their early performance it would seem not! Team T4F tried to slip in an early briibe, but apparently it wasn;t enough as they faltered in the middle stages.
With the final rounds of the Executive Quiz Night done and dusted it was once again time to watch our top two teams battle it out in the Hit or Miss. Before all that, however, the business of the Wooden Spoon was to be sorted out! And this time around it went to Team Backfilled and Reinstated! The Gastronauts and The Three Bears went head-to-head in the Hit or Miss, with the musical knowledge of Three Bears proving a little lacklustre, The Gastronauts stepped forward to huge rounds of applause as they lifted the Team Challenge Company Winners Trophy high into the air.
Both nights of Evening Entertainment had been a massive success, and were throughly enjoyed by all in attendance. A big thank-you goes out to all those involved in the organisation of the Events, specifically Helen Monica, Susan and Linda - your hard work and enthusiasm really ensured both Executive Quiz Nights were hugely memorable. All our quiz-competitors were an absolute pleasure to work with (despite the cheating), and we at Team Challenge Company look forward to seeing you all again in the near future.
