Team Building and Corporate Entertainment with TAQA

We hope this blog will bring back some great memories of your fantastic Team Building and Corporate Entertainment Events. Check out all the photos from the event, and don't forget to leave us a comment at the bottom of the page with some of your highlights and favourite moments!

Team Building and Corporate Entertainment EdinburghThe dates were 30th September and 1st October and 21st and 22nd October 2010, it was time for the two groups of TAQA employees to experience the Team Challenge Company Team Building and Corporate Entertainment challenges and activities.  The setting was the beautiful Dalhousie Castle in Edinburgh. The weather on the other hand could not have been much worse, with the second group getting the brunt of it.

Day 1 on each event kicked off with some Indoor Team Building Challenges, Helium Stick and Bridge Build. Followed by some fun and exciting Corporate Entertainment activities on day 2, such as Archery, Mini Highland Games and the Gladiator Duel.  With so many activities and entertaining characters on each event we could write a diary on them all, however to spare you a running commentary we have a few memories to bring a smile to your day from the fantastic Team Building and Corporate Entertainment Event.

Event 1 Highlights

Team Building and Corporate Entertainment EdinburghThe less said about the Helium Stick the better for the two teams competing, however, it was in the Bridge Build challenge that we saw some real genius.  With Mike and Robbie in the team we thought it was going to be disaster, but somehow they managed to build one of the best bridges Team Challenge Company has ever seen - A special award goes out to the Iderdown team for winning this challenge.

Team Building and Corporate Entertainment EdinburghIt was time for the Idertops to shine on day 2; Sarah led the way with a fantastic score in the Target Air Rifle shooting followed by a steady performance throughout the rest of the activities contributing to her team taking home the Team Challenge Company Trophy.

Robbie on the other hand despite his best efforts could not find an activity that he was any good at, never mind Robbie, Mike was not far behind you only raising his game at the Axe Throwing challenge.  We cannot forget to mention Tam, he took on the role as Inspirational Coach for his team but when it came to the constructive feedback there was little to be heard.

A great effort was put in by both teams and congratulations goes out to both for taking home at least one of the Team Challenge Company Trophies.

Event 2 Highlights

Team Building and Corporate Entertainment EdinburghWith such an impressive performance in the Bridge Build challenge in Event 1 the Team Challenge Company team were expecting good things from Frank's and Colin's teams.  It was not to be, both teams taking on the double or quits point system ended in disaster as both teams failed to build a successful bridge.  But due to Frank's team performance in the deceivingly difficult Helium stick Team Building challenge it was his team that took home the Trophy.

Team Building and Corporate Entertainment EdinburghIt was a miserable wet morning and as the Team Challenge Company arrived to set up they discovered some of the team still sitting in the bar from the night before, it looked like it was going to be a rough day.  But the teams were on top form, with great performances from Colin on the Laser Clay Pigeon Shooting and Gail on the Target Air Rifles it was a tight competition.  But it was Mike again who had a poor performance on the Archery and Gladiator duel challenges amongst others, in fact it was only his performance on the Axe Throwing that kept him from receiving the individual booby prize!!

All in all both Team Building and Corporate Entertainment events were filled with fun and energetic performances.  We have to give a special mention to the girls, Sarah and Gail, who were not always on the winning team, however, their overall performances on both days was far superior to the boys... Who said boys are best!!!

We would like to thank Mike for organising the Team Building and Corporate Entertainment away days; it was great to see the events finally come to fruition.  The teams were great to work with and despite the poor weather on the second event spirits were kept high.  We look forward to working with you and your teams in 2011.

We had a great time delivering both events for you Mike, despite the weather everyone was up for the fun and entertainment. I must admit that when i saw the second group on day two I thought it was going to be struggle, including you! But it was another fantastic day, with some great performances from the teams.

We look forward to working with you on your events for 2011, the boys need to make a come back.
