It was an early start for the 160 strong staff from Ernst & Young at the ever impressive Selsdon Park. Our Indoor Entertainment Event, Generation Game, was chosen for the entertainment and it was fun and frolics from start to finish. The crowd were in a nervous disposition but once they had a glimpse of the Team Challenge Company trophy they were fired up for the first round of Hit & Miss. This round was a great warm-up for this group it even got James aka Mr Cool out of his seat to snatch victory for his team.
Round 2 was the ever popular Giraffe Build, there was a lot of impressive looking Giraffes, well I think they were Giraffes team Twix took it to another level with their what only can be described as a Giraffe Tripod, but up stepped team Nandos with a 101” Giraffe snatching victory from Team Indecisive who later became 3rd place for their part in a scandal now referred to as operation Touching Pole!, meaning the Magic Stars slotted in to 2nd with a great 78”.
Then it was time for more exciting rounds of Memory Test, Clown Around and Cake Decorating of which Team Nando’s were firing forward with great victories. Potato Peel was an absolute blur with teams trying to get a step closer to being crowned Ernest & Young Champions of 2011 but after checking with the score master it had became apparent that team Desparados had got their act together and were starting to move up the ladder. Bribery always works lol!!!
Just before the top four teams were chosen for the Generation Game finale of Animal Race, it was the turn of the most intelligent team member to step forward for the Generation Game conveyer belt. It was a well fought contest but the Super Secs headed up by Karen and Liz came out the other side as victorious with help from a late comer.
It was a tense couple of minutes as we tallied up the scores then we called up the teams for Animal Race finale, they were Desperado’s, Nando’s, Magic Stars and Carmax there could be only one winner and once the final whistle was blown, the team who we thought were still feeling the pain from the night before Deperado’s were crowned the champions of 2011.
2nd Place - Magic Stars, 3rd Palce – Carmax, 4th Place – Nando’s and taking away the spoon for last place the………… Birmingham 7. I t was great afternoon for all present, we would like to thank Liz and Karen for organising such a successful event and we look forward to the Generation Game re-match!
Delighted to hear that all went so well on the day, and that everyone in attendance enjoyed our Generation Game fun...depsite how early it was in the morning!
Having spoken with our Event Team, Gerry, Bob and Euan, following your Generation Game Show, I found myself rolling on the floor with laughter following some of the hilarious stories they brought back. They told me of how great a bunch the Ernst & Young team were, and how much fun they had working with you all.
It has been an absolute pleasure to work closely with both Liz and Karen in the design and organisation of your Generation Game event with us, and think they both deserve a big shout out and round of applause for all the hard work and commitment they put in to making the day such a success. I sincerely look forward to working with you and the rest of the Ersnt & Young team again soon.
Thank you so much to the guys from Team Challenge for an excellent and fun way to start the day after "the night before". We were all a bit tired and droopy but you got us all involved in an exciting round of team challenges. A really great time was had by all and we are still all laughing! Cannot recommend you highly enough - thanks to all concerned.
