Corporate Entertainment with Shell

Corporate Entertainment Edinburgh May 2011 webThe fabulous HandPicked Norton House Hotel played host to a fun-filled and adrenaline-fuelled day of Corporate Entertainment with a great (and highly competitive) group from Shell. The 'changeable' weather could not dampen the spirits of the team, as all 30 guests descended on our Corporate Entertainment activities a full 30 minutes early...clearly raring to go!

The morning kicked off with the group being divided into 4 teams, and after a bit of Bosman Ruling Transfers (we just couldn't keep Danny apart from the rest of his motley crew!), we were ready to kick-start straight into the high-energy Corporate Entertainment action that lay in wait. The teams would rotate around 5 Corporate Entertainment activities throughout the morning and afternoon, including Archery, Quad Biking and Honda Pilot Grass Karts! With the Team Challenge Company Trophy up for grabs, there was little love-loss amongst the teams as the competition got underway.

Corporate Entertainment Edinburgh May 2011 web 5There were a number of highlights throughout the day of Corporate Entertainment, many of which are too hilarious (and some too rude...) to mention. We have included below our favourite moments from the day, and it would be great if you were to add in your top memories into the comments section below. Our  Corporate Entertainment highlights reel starts with Ola on the Grass Karts, where it quickly became clear that her lack of driving skills may have lead us to staying out all night just so she could finish a lap! And then there was Wee 'Robin Hood' Tam on the Archery; what a hero, and with that Green Hoodie on, all you needed was the tights Tam and you could have passed for Kevin Costner himself!

Corporate Entertainment Edinburgh May 2011 web 4As the day of Corporate Entertainment continued to flow and points continued to be racked up by all teams - well, almost all teams (Team 3...!!!) - the fun-filled highlights were plentiful. Kevin put the rest of the group to shame on the Mini Highland Games Stone Lift, though he did admit to calling in some help from Kerry, who would have done anything for a few bonus points...which included slagging Jonny off with her Caber-Toss roar! Martin proved Top Dog on the Air Rifles, and nobody could come close to catching Jackie on the Quad Bikes as the day of Corporate Entertainment grew to an almighty climax.

Corporate Entertainment Edinburgh May 2011 web 4With Team Challenge Company Winners Trophy still in the balance, the grand finale of Laser Clay Pigeon Shooting was sure to separate the wheat from the chaff! It quickly became clear that Tweedle-Dee and Tweedle-Dum of Team 4 would need a miracle to score maximum points, or at least a very sizable bribe (which never came!) With the scores close going into the final round, Big John found an extra gear and helped his Team 3 Roar to victory in the Laser Clay Pigeon Shooting with their final few shots.

Corporate Entertainment Edinburgh May 2011 web 4Unfortunately, it seems John and his team weren't much use at anything else, and as the final Corporate Entertainment scores were read out, Team 3 stepped up to collect their Wooden Spoon for their last place finish. Team 4 managed to scrape into 3rd position, with Team 2 narrowly missing out on Top Spot by just 100 points. That left the mighty (and some might say, flukey!) Team 1 to jump up and lift aloft the Team Challenge Company Winners Trophy...Legends!

The day of Corporate Entertainment with Shell at the wonderful HandPicked Norton House Hotel had been a great success, with all in attendance thoroughly enjoying themselves despite the crazy downpours of rain. A big shout-out and thanks must go to Kevin and Peter for their hard work and effort in organising such a great day, and we at Team Challenge Company look forward to Corporate Entertainment Round 2 next week!

What a fun-filled day of Corporate Entertainment this was. Not even the rain could dampen the spirits of the Shell Team, and it was great that the compeitition remained so close throughout the day.

My persoanl highlight was undoubtedly the Laser Clay Pigeon Shooting, which was hugely tight throughout...even Tweedle-Dum and Tweedle-Dee started to hit the clays after a while.

An absolute pleasure as always to work with Kevein, Peter and the team from Shell, look forward to seeing you all again for the re-match
