Corporate Entertainment with Shell

The beautiful HandPicked Norton House Hotel was once again host to a an exciting morning of fun-filled Corporate Entertainment with another hugely competitive  team from Shell. With the grass short(ish) and the weather favourable, all that was left to do was split up the times and jump right in to the Corporate Entertainment activities!

Corporate Entertainment Edinburgh May 2011The morning had started rather surprisingly all thanks to Yinka, or as we now call him, Fireman Sam! After the hotel fire alarms were re-set and Yinka donned his now immaculately ironed shirt, we kicked off into the 5 Corporate Entertainment activities that lay in wait, including Archery, Quad Biking and Honda Pilot Grass Karts! With the Team Challenge Company Trophy up for grabs, it was all to play for right from the off.

Corporate Entertainment Edinburgh May 2011With so many fun-filled and hilarious goings-on throughout the morning, there isn't quite enough space in here to include all our highlights from the day of Corporate Entertainment. We have put together some of our favourite moments, and it would be great if you were to add in your top memories into the comments section below. We'll kick-start our Corporate Entertainment highlights reel starts with Yatin The Graduate...let it just be said he musn't have been picked for his common sense, and certainly not for his Welly Throwing ability!

Corporate Entertainment Edinburgh May 2011As the morning of Corporate Entertainment became more and more competitive, the fun-filled moments kept on coming. Eddie was an absolute King on the Air Rifles, his Man of the Match performance only match by the might Ian on the Mini Highland Games Stone Lift! The star of the day, however, was the sensational Yanni! With the pressure piling on for the final Archery Shot of the day, only a burst balloon would be good enough to take maximum points. She stepped up and fired straight and true into the target, bursting the balloon and sending her team in raptuorous applause.

Corporate Entertainment Edinburgh May 2011With Team Challenge Company Winners Trophy still in the balance, the grand finale of Laser Clay Pigeon Shooting would seal the fate of all teams. Shell Bob proved he wasn't as rubbish at everything as we all thought, and actually went from zero to hero as he hit the final clay of the day...speculation is still rife that he just closed both eyes and hoped for the best, but only he knows the truth.  With all the points counted up, and socres checked and verified, there was only one thing left to do...present the Corporate Entertainment Prizes.

Corporate Entertainment Edinburgh May 2011It came as little surprise when Nick and Team 4 were called up to collect the Wooden Spoon, finishing the day of Corporate Entertainment on 3200 points. Just scraping past them into 3rd place was the ever-comical Team 1, which left just Teams 2 and 3 awaiting there fate. Unfortunately for Team 3, it was they who fell short, leaving the mighty Team 2 to step up and collect their Team Challenge Company Winners Trophy...after all these years Kevin, you have finally won it!

The day of Corporate Entertainment with Shell at the fantastic  HandPicked Norton House Hotel had been a hige success, with the entire group thoroughly enjoying themselves throughout the morning. A big thank-you goes out to Kevin and Peter for all their hard work and effort in organising such a wonderful day, and we at Team Challenge Company look forward to seeing the entire Shell team again very soon!

Well Round 2 was every bit as entertaining as Round 1 just a couple of weeks previous, with yet another fun-filled day with Team Shell.

Kevin, delighted you can finally take home a Winner's Trophy, you'll have to organise a display cabinet in the office!

    Yanni - what a shot!
    Yinka - what a shirt!
Yatin - what where you thinking?

Another big shout-out for Peter and Kevin and all their hard work that went in to making the day such a success. The Shell Team were a joy to work with as always, and I look forward to seeing you all again very soon!
