The beautiful setting of Pittodrie House Hotel played host to an afternoon of fun-filled entertainment with a group from BP in the shape of our ever popular Team Building Event, The Crystal Challenge. with around 40 employees of BP were treated to a frenzied high spirited and competitive fabulous day of Team Building entertainment in the shape of our hugely popular Crystal Challenge Event.
After the welcome and safety brief a sense of nervous anticipation filled the air as the guests were broken on to teams, and they walked out onto the grounds of the Pittodrie Estate and looked out across a sea of various Team Building Challenges. The big kick-off soon arrived, and with a quick introduction and brief to the Team Building Day (from the Leopard-Print Lover, whose jacket and hat became strangely popular with a number of people throughout the day), the 6 teams headed out into the main Crystal Challenge arena. The teams, fired up by their team captains prepared to take on of Team Building Challenges with the hope of winning as many crystals as possible throughout the day, all in a bid to compete in the Crystal Dome and take home the much-coveted Team Challenge Company Crystal Challenge Winners Trophy!
There were so many fun and hilarious highlights right throughout the entire day of the Team Building entertainment, far too many (and some too crazy...) to mention in this blog. We have included a few of our favourite Crystal Challenge moments for your pleasure, and if you have any others please do write a comment at the bottom of the page and include your memories from the day. Our first highlight has to be our first Crystal Presentations to Team 1, who stepped up to every Team Challenge but alas their individual challenges - proved less than successful til Graeme stepped up at the Flag Race - thank goodness !
Further highlights have to include Team 3 who could not lose a team challenge but just couldn't hit the nail on the head, the mighty team 6 the last team on 'nail it' drove it home to win 2 crystals on the ring your bell and nail it challenges. Then there was team 1... well a great team at the start winning 4 team challenges but losing all the sole ones. After tea they lost 2 team events but won the 2 solo events, they got the most stick of the day, all of whom were far to scary to mess with, but still the Leopard-Print Lover made sure they got their fair share of stick!
With many crystals won and lost throughout the afternoon of Team Building, the big finale in the Crystal Dome had arrived. Each team would select one team member to step inside and collect as many golden tokens as possible. The tension was huge, but so was the cheering, inspiring the competitors onwards to phenomenal performances inside the Dome. With the Golden Tokens counted and verified, it was time to announce to finishing places, and collecting the Wooden Spoon this time around was (obviously) Team 6 for their to be honest ridiculous -12 Golden tokens...!! the lepard-print lover said to Sue like 10 time just the gold tokens but oh no 45 gold to 57 red. Team 3 were just pipped at the post, leaving the mighty team 4 to step up and lift the Team Challenge Company Winners Trophy high into the air, cheered on by rounds of applause that were head throughout the Pittodrie House gardens !.
A fabulous day of Team Building entertainment had been enjoyed by all in attendance, and the Crystal Challenge event had been hugely memorable. A big shout-out and a thank-you goes to Sue, Graeme and Mark involved in organising the event, your effort and enthusiasm throughout ensured everything was a massive success. The entire group from BP was a huge pleasure to work with, and all at Team Challenge Company look forward to seeing you all again soon.
What a fantastic day, spirits were high throughout despite the poor weather. A great team to work with and I look forward to working with you all again in the near future.
