Team Building with Discovery Networks UK & Ireland

Team Building London A fantastic day of Team Building was had by all at Kew Cricket Grounds with Discovery Europe. The day kicked off with all groups participating in Helium Sticks. It proved to be a challenge for some- but not for the team Harriers, who scored top points. Alan was a great motivator for the team, his words of encouragement leading them to success.

Moving straight onto the team challenges two groups in turn battled against each other in five activities. In the Team Building NASA challenge Hawks and Eagles had the opportunity to face each other in this brain-boxing activity. From the Hawks, Ben found a new calling in life as a space cadet. Following the NASA challenge the teams had a head to head race at Blind in Tent. The Eagles soared through their build of the tent- of course this was down to having manager Susanna on their team.

Team Building London When it came to the Stepping Stones Team Building Challenge a keen Zeliha always kept her eye on the opposition, looking for ways to take her team to the top. The Hawks were appearing to do well in the Rollerball practice round but during the competition their contraption failed but did not dent their hopes of winning. While the Kestrels overall had the best contraption with good team efforts and enthusiasm. During the Spider Web Team Building challenge, we found a secret gymnast as Dexter did a dive roll to get his way through the web.

Team Building London After a well earned lunch all teams prepared to put on the performance of their lives with the Boomwhackers. Teams paired up and worked together, the Condors and the Buzzards doing a mash up of songs which ended up with some Ricky Gervais style dancing to top the performance. Dancing was definitely for the Ospreys and the Kestrels as they impressed everyone with Michael Jackson's Thiller.

Team Building London The final activity completes the Discovery Networks Team Building day, working against each other to build a fully capable catapult. With all teams working effectively the final outcome proved to be somewhat less than they expected. Spirits were high and the environment was great and it was Al's Owls who came out on top with a fantastic 6000 points taking home the Team Challenge Company Winner Trophy.

A big Thank you to Helen and her team for organising such a fun filled day of Team Building, we look forward to working with you on your next event.

This was a great day of Teambuilding at a fantastic venue in the centre of London. The groups were a pleasure to work with and the activities chosen were a great mixture for the teams to get their teeth into.

The owls were worthy winners, they deserved the Team Challenge Trophy with the most orthodox catapult we have seen for a long time plus there Boomwhackers wasn't bad either.

A big thanks to Helen and the team and i look forward to working with yourselfs in the future.

    Bob
