The group from Marathon Oil were in for a treat as they finished their morning conference session and headed outside for our fun and challenging Specialist Team Building Trade to Win event. The six teams were given their mission briefing detailing the aim of the game. Teams had to complete various Team Building challenges in order to earn as much fun-money as possible with which to buy parts to build and launch a rocket. Teams were then given time assign each other's job roles as well as coming up with a winning business strategy that the would employ throughout the event. Once the planning time was over the teams were straight in to the activities.

There were lots of highlights from the day that will not be forgotten for a long time to come, by us and the teams and one such moment was the controversy at the Stepping Stones challenge as the teams were so competitive and the sabotage plans were out early. Team one certainly made themselves heard after a stewards enquiry into the result that prompted an excellent debate of their business strategy for the Team Building day. 

Similar hilarious moments involved team five's high risk attempt at the Team Building challenge Helium Stick. After Conrad's cries of 'Just give us the money now!' the opposing teams soon got to work to make sure that there would be little chance of a win with frantic screams of UP UP UP! Team two were demons on the Casket Rescue challenge; as well as successful completion of rescuing the bottle they gained points for being the only team with a tidy work station and to use PPE!

There was a lot of bartering and trading going on when it came time to make purchases for parts and Lynne proved to be an excellent choice of Finance Manager as she masterminded a trade agreement like no other. It was then time for the Trade to Win company presentations and they did not disappoint in terms of enthusiasm, skill and energy. Team three's solo presentation in THAT wig and jacket combo was not to be missed. Team five were the ones to blow everyone away with their 99.99% effective Sigma Six Rocket.

Following the phenomenal presentations it was the time we had all been waiting for... the Rocket Launch! The rockets flew well and most parachutes were attached and so the spectacle was certainly one of excitement as we all watched their progress through the skies. It was then time for the final score check which revealed that the deserving winners taking home the Team Challenge Company Trophy was team number six.

It was a fanstastic afternoon of Team Building Trade to Win entertainment and the teams all excelled throughout the day. Days like these take an awful lot to organise so huge shout out to David for all of his hard work in outting the day together for everyone to enjoy. It was a pleasure to work with you all and we look forward to seeing you all again very soon.
