The stunning Slieve Donard Hotel in Newcastle was the beautiful setting for an evening of Corporate Quiz Night entertainment with the group from Almac. Following a wonderful dinner the teams grabbed their drinks, held onto their hats and geared up for the ride of their lives as the music blared and we kicked off with round number one.

Throughout the Evening Entertainment the team's competitive spirit was high, they were out of their seats from the off for Higher or Lower, taking it right to the wire as three teams came up to the front to battle it out with the quizmaster. The geographical knowledge of the group proved to be less than tip top as the Guess What and Where round proved to be a little beyond some of the teams.

There was controversy during the Trivia Quiz Round over comparisons between the Channel Tunnel and the Berlin Wall that had one team calling for a Steward's Enquiry! The movie buffs however were certainly present and correct as there were full marks for several teams in the Movie Quiz Round. Well pleayed Jokers meant too that this was the time that really shook up the leaderboard and had the 'clear winners' of the evening shaking in their boots as the underdogs started to storm to the top with their clever tactical use of a cuddly toy.

The hilarity stepped up another gear during this Quiz as the teams were let loose on building the tallest, freestanding balloon tower possible. With plenty of cheating as balloons were fixed to glasses, bottles of beer, tables and chairs. Others however proved to have the architectural knowledge of champions and impressed us all with their top quality leaning tower of balloon.

Tension was huge for the Corporate Quiz Night Finale as all Jokers were played and it was so close at the top that there was a lot riding on the successful driving skills of the teams. This resulted in several cries of 'No woman drivers!' to which the ladies actually agreed!

After varying levels of success and wild feats of engineering it was time for the Quiz scores and in the end it came down to one or two correct answers to differentiate between the top and the bottom of the league table. It was the Dragon Slayers who came out smelling of roses with 750 points and so taking home the Team Challenge Company Quiz Winner's Trophy. It was teams To Tweet or not to tweet, Misfits, Napalm Death, Kermits and Sea Biscuit who came 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th respectively. This meant that And the Winner is were bringing up the rear and taking home the Wooden Spoon.

All in all it was a great evening of Quiz Night Entertianment that was full of laughter and hilarity from start to finish. Huge shout out must go to Elaine for all of her hard work and effort in putting the Evening Entertainment together for everyone. It is just a shame that after so much effort that you were not there to enjoy the best bit! We thoroughly enjoyed the entire evening and look forward to meeting you all again.
