Team Building with NHS Forth Valley

We hope this blog will bring back some great memories of your fantastic day of Indoor Team Building. Check out all the photos from the afternoon, and don't forget to leave us a comment at the bottom of the page with some of your highlights and favourite moments!

Team BuildingIt was the turn of NHS Forth Valley for the Team Challenge Company Team Building experience at the Macdonald Inchyra Grange. After lunch the teams were gathered and facilitated through their objective settings for the Team Building afternoon that lay ahead. The teams were pumped up and ready for the first activity of Helium Stick.  It was a ruckus affair and as all the teams had seen the Team Challenge trophy they all wanted to be the NHS Forth Valley Winners 2011. The leaders were changing all the time but only one team was going to win and that was the mighty Forthview Practice who stormed it, taking maximum points, with Bo'ness Practice just missing out. There was a few curlers in the crowd trying to cheat, yes Ronnie we mean you!

Team BuildingThen the game was on, the teams were split up around 3 rotations of Team Building Activities: Boomwhackers, Nasa and Travel ball. In Travel Ball there was some great teams which could wipe the ball from one side of the team to the other in seconds. The other teams tried hard but the quickest of the day was Meeks Road Team 4 and we heard a whisper from the team captain that maybe they should try for the Olympics next year.

Team BuildingOver at Nasa their were some exceptionally great teams and some not so  good teams. There was one team who tried their hardest through this exercise but never came up trumps and that was Meeks Road Team 3 - you better start watching more Star Wars teams. But two teams excelled themselves in this Team Building exercise and seemed big fans of Star Trek.  They were Bo'ness Road and Forthview Practice with the best scores we have seen for a while.

Team BuildingThen it was the turn of Boomwhackers in which the teams were going to be scored on a strict criteria. The teams had 15 minutes to get themselves together then they had to put on a show to everyone else.  There was Twinkle, Twinkle and  Auld Lang Syne just to name a few. We even complemented Karen on her composition for Meeks Practice, it was fantastic. All the teams were fantastic and we had a lot of fun doing this exercise.  It really got everyones creative juices flowing for the last Team Building task which was Archway Contract.  The teams had to plan and execute this task in a limited time and on budget. The team who were impressive all through the day came out victorious and that was the mighty Forthview.  They were on time and ran their business on budget  so a great big well done.  Just trailing them was Grange Medical with the quickest time of the day.

Team BuildingThe scores were checked and verified and in last place was Bonnybank who tried so hard and maybe, as in their words, they did leave with egg on their face haha. It was then time to present the Team Challenge Winner's Trophy. It was between Dr Whitelaw & Partners and Forthview practice.  There really was hardly anything between the two teams but in the end there could only be one winner and it was... Forthview Practice. Well done.  Worthy winners with a fantastic performance all day.

A big thanks must go out to Jan for organising such a great day of Team Development and here at Team Challenge Company we all look forward to the re-match.
