Marathon Oil Summer BBQ
Nearly six-hundred adults and children arrived at Thainstone House Hotel on Sunday morning to revel in the delights of the annual Marathon Oil Corporate Family Funday.
The Corporate Family Funday kicked off in glorious September sunshine, and the weather only continued to improve throughout the day, helping to ensure a fantastic event was enjoyed by all who attended. The entire hotel and the surrounding grounds were utilised, which provided anough space for a vast array of Corporate BBQ Activities, all of which provided hours of fun for the guests throughout the day.
The Inflatable Fun Zone was a big hit with both adults and children, as the guests enjoyed racing on the Bungee Run, riding the Giant Slide, or floating around inside the Moonwalker. Then there was the host of Inflatables for the younger children, including Bouncy Castles, Ball Pools and the Undersea Adventure.
The Corporate Family Fun didn't end there, with so many more activities on offer for all the family to enjoy. There was Archery, Laser Clay Pigeon Shooting, Face Painting, Sumo Wrestling Suits and Big Screen Games to name but a few.
Following the Archery and Laser Clay Competitions, the Corporate Family Funday came to a crescendo with the Mini It's A Knockout Races. A large crowd gathered around the 'Race Arena' to watch the teams battle it out on the hilarious races, which included the Spacehooper Dash and the Obstacle Ski Challenge.
The Mini It's A Knockout finished with the Inflatable Assault Course Finale, with one team walking away champions, to an enormous round of applause from the onlooking crowd.
A truly fantastic day was had by all the guests, which was rounded off by giving away Goody-Boxes and Gifts to all the children just before they departed. The entire event was a roaring success, ensuring everybody walked away with fond memories of their day and smiles on their faces. It seems fair to say that both Team Challenge Company and Marathon Oil are already looking forward in anticipation to next years Corporate Family Funday.
