Team Training and Development Event - Amec
Team Challenge Company continued their Team Training partnership with AMEC this week and facilitated a Trade to Win event. The team were broken up into three groups all competing in our dynamic Team Building business game, where teams must earn money - using a combination of low and high risk strategies - in order to purchase manufacturing products to build and launch their Company Rocket.
The three teams, namely; "Coconuts", "Champion" and "Lightning" started the first phase of their excercise at 0900 hours, and although energy at the start was low, they found their feet during the Helium Stick Team Challenge. The eventual winners of this Team Building game was Champion, earning them $1000 and sending them into an early lead.
After lunch came the main event - the teams were given their mission briefing and issued their instructions for the afternoon. Upon dividing their team into a number of various roles,the first opportunity to earn some cash arrived. During the session the teams competed in mix of Team Challenges, which included Blind Mans Buff, Rollerball, Lasersport and Roulette.
As we headed into the Team Presentations it seemed like team Champion were striding out into the lead, as they battled to recover from a massive loss on the Roulette Table.
During the presentations the cracks started to show and team Lightning struggled under the scrutiny of the US Military panel and their newly drafted lieutenant. Rumors say that it was the appointed Finance Manager that let the side down....
Finally it came to the launch, and after almost three hours of build time, the truth was about to be revealed! The teams stood outside in the secure launch viewing area to see the fruits of their labour, negotiations and Team Building expertise.
