Marathon Oil held their annual Christmas Corporate Fun Day at the fantastic Beach Ballroom, where hundreds of adults and children arrived in anticipation to enjoy the entertainment on offer in the transformed Winter Wonderland.
The excited guests arrived in their masses as the Christmas Corporate Fun Day got underway, with enough games and activities to keep both young and old entertained for hours on end. The children's Inflatable Fun Zone had so much on offer, including the Gladiator Duel and the Giant Bouncy Castle, the Moonwalker and the Ball Pool for the younger children, and the ever-popular, ever hilarious Bucking Rudi.
There were many more fun and games for all to enjoy, with the Scalextrics, Remote Control Cars, Big Screen Games and Lasersport all proving to be a big hit throughout the Corporate Fun Day.
Then there were the Festive Party Games, which brought even more hilarity and laughter to the afternoon, both for those who took part and those who spectated. The Dancing Competitons allowed the young ones to show off their skills on the dance-floor, as prizes were given away for the best Cha Cha Sliders! Pass the Parcel was great fun as always, and Musical Statues went on for so long that we thought it would be the New Year before a winner was found!
But there was a special guest in attendance at the Christmas Corporate Fun Day that out-shone all the other entertainment on offer - the one and only, Santa Claus. Santa and his helpful Elves invited all the children to his fantastic festive Grotto, where they had the chance to say hello to Mrs Claus before receiving a special early Christmas present from Santa himself. It truly was a magical day, and the chance to meet Santa Clause made it that much more special.
As the Christmas Corporate Fun Day drew to a close, the children and adults waved goodbye to Santa Claus as he began his jounrey back to the North Pole, before getting ready to head homeward themselves. It was clear to see that all had enjoyed a fabulous day of festive fun, as smiles on faces and rosie cheeks (many of which were face-painted on, I'm sure) provided proof of how successful the entire event had been. We would all like to say a big Thank You to Ruth and the rest of the Organising Committee who had helped make the Christmas Corporate Fun Day so fantastic. Everybody at Team Challenge Company had a great afternoon with all the guests of Marathon Oil, and are already looking forward to the summer months and the next Marathon Oil Corporate Fun Day.
