Corporate Entertainment Ferrovial Agroman
Ardoe House provided the a maginifcent venue for the Ferrovial Agroman Away-Day of Corporate Entertainment which began on a wintry January afternoon.
The cold weather could not keep the excited group of guests back from the fun-filled day of Corporate Activities. The guests were divided into their teams, and some careful choices were made as to who would be the Team Captains. There was an obvious choice for Team Ginger Beers, who had a sportsman of impeccible credentials on their team. 'El Capitano' had been fishing for an entire 8 hours on the previous day, and performed magnificently well, managing to catch himself a huge cold...and that was about it! It seemed the Ginger Beers were setting themselves up for an inevitable downfall!
The Corporate Entertainment soon got underway as the teams rotated around the fantastic mix of Corporate Activities on show, all the while competing for points which would see them named the Team Challenge Company Champions and walk away with the coveted Winners Trophy. The Corporate Activites saw Tiger Woods Wanna-Be's battle it out on the Target Golf, Robin Hood Heroes have a crack at the Archery, Sensational Sharpshooters compete in the Laser Clay Pigeon Shooting, and the Speed Demons of the group cruise around the very technical Quad-Bike Course.
The afternoon of Corporate Entertainment saw Declan lead his Bodgit Construction team to an early lead as they mounted a serious challenge for the Winners Trophy from the off, closely followed by A Bridge Too Far and The Force Company. It was strange to see The Ginger Beers lagging behind from the beginning...! The lead changed hands a number of times throughout the day, making for a a hugely exciting climax.
As the Corporate Activities drew to a close, the time came for the finale they had all been waiting for - Bridge Build. The teams set about desiging and building a construction that would allow them to drive an RC from one side to the other without dropping into the plunging pit below. Now, you would think that The Ginger Beers would have this one all sewn up due to the fact that their team was made entirely of engineers...think again! In fact, none of the teams managed to make a successful crossing, which was particularly embarrassing for Team Bodgit Constructions, who claimed 'Our bridge is even better than the Forth Road Bridge!
The final scores were quickly checked and verified, and it was no surprise when The Ginger Beers were awarded the Wooden Spoon for finishing in last place! A Bridge Too Far winded up in 3rd, with Bodgit Construction narrowly missing out on Top Spot. However, it was to be The Force Company's day, as they were named champions of the afternoon of Corporate Entertainment and walked away with the fabulous Winners Trophy.
Though only one team could return to the work-place victorious, we hope that all the guests left with fantastic memories of the day of Corporate Entertainment with Team Challenge Company, and we all look forward to seeing everbody again and the next event.
