Team Training and Development - Sorin Group

A small team from Sorin Group arrived at Airth Castle amidst glorious January weather to take part in a fantastic afternoon of Team Training in the shape of our unique Team Training programme 'Trade to Win'.

Sorin Group

The excited group were divided into their 3 teams - The Celtic Tigers, The High Flyers and Team Can We Go After Them - and given the event briefing for their afternoon of exhilarating and intensive Team Training. The aim of the Team Training Event was simple - to take part in a number of high risk and low risk challenges, attempting to accumulate enough fun-money to purchase the materials required to design, build and launch their very own rocket! It was going to be a tough afternoon ahead, but one which proved to be not only rewarding, but also great fun.

All 3 teams quickly realised that they would have to draw on individual strengths, effectively manage team weaknesses and most importantly work together in order to overcome the obstacles that lay ahead, and to compete at the top of their game in each Team Building Challenge throughout the day.

These testing Team Building Challenges were mixed with fun and entertaining Team Training games which saw the three teams competing head-to-head in Indoor Laser Shot, Catapult, Helium Stick and Bridge Build, as well as risking it all for the glory of victory on the Roulette Table.

All teams competed strongly in each challenge, and it was a tough one to call with regard to which team might come out on top. As the Team Training Day drew to a close, the frantic rocket building commenced. It was all or nothing in the finale challenge, which team would walk away victorious...? The 3 teams made individual presentations of their rockets before the big launch...the time had come to find out just who would walk away with the illustrious Team Challenge Company Winners Trophy.

Of the 3 rockets, only one failed to launch...and it was no surprise that it was the High Flyers that couldn't quite make the grade. The rocket belonging to Team Can We Go After Them flew, much to the surprise of everybody on site...even the team members themselves. However, based on overall performance throughout the Team Training Day, there could only be one winning team, and it was only to obvious as the rocket built by The Celtic Tigers soared into the evening sky, a fabulous site that was greeted with cheers from the onlooking crowd.

Though there could only be one winning team on the day, we are quite sure that all who participated in the Team Training Event really benefitted from the challenge, and we hope that everybody was able to take something from their experience back into the workplace. The team from Sorin Group were a fantastic bunch to work with, and everybody at Team Challenge Company are looking forward to their next event.
