Team Building Royal College of General Practitioners

A snow-covered Thainstone House Hotel set the scene for a fantastic afternoon of light-hearted Team Building and Corporate Entertainment, as a group of 14 excited Doctors from the Royal College of General Practitioners arrived in truly wintry conditions.

The Artic conditions could not keep the group back, and what was originally planned as an outdoor Team Building session quickly transformed to an afternoon of indoor Team Building and Corporate Entertainment. The group was split into 3 teams before the games would kick off, and before long The Chancers, Concious Incompetence and Balls R Us were competing against eachother in a bid to be crowned Team Challenge Company Champions.

The teams battled it out on the Big Screen Games, got their aim in check on the LaserSport, and put their wits to the test in the ever challenging, ever exciting Team Building Activity, Rollerball. Using only the materials provided and working against the clock, the teams were tasked with designing and creating a construction that would allow for the continous motion of a ball for as long as possible.

It was this Team Building Activity that seperated the good from the great ('great' being used fairly loosely)! It seemed that there would be a tape shortage throughout the UK after Concious Incompetence's effort, which, though looking impressive, fell short of the mark when it came to results. Balls R Us created the biggest laugh of the day when one respectable team member roared out 'I know! Why don't we just tape our balls...?' Surprisingly that plan didn't work out so well!

It was left up to The Chancers to restore faith throughout the group. With a simple solution and an effective plan of attack, The Chancers made the Team Building Activity look almost effortless, racking up an impressive score of 43.16 seconds!

It was then on to the big finale - Bridge Build. Though there were some tense moments and some edgey driving skills, all 3 teams completed the final Team Building task successfully, each attempt being met with rapturous applause from those who looked on. In the end, nobody could stop The Chancers as they ran out deserving winners and were presented with the glimmering Team Challenge Company Winners Trophy.

A fantastic afternoon of Team Building and Corporate Entertainment was enjoyed by all who attended, and though only one team could walk away winners, we are quite sure everybody left with great memories of their day in the snow at Thainstone House Hotel. A special mentions goes to Shonagh Bruce for organising the fabulous day of fun, which proved to be a real success. Everbody at Team Challenge Company looks forward to working with you all again in the near future.
