Corporate Entertainment and Quiz Night with Total
Another group from Total E&P joined the Team Challenge Company boys for some more fun-filled Corporate Entertainment at Ardoe House Hotel.
The energetic group of atheletes (that term has been used VERY loosely) arrived at the venue ready to rock with the afternoon of Corporate Entertainment ahead. Many had learned of another groups experience two weeks previous, and were anxious to get the party started. The group was divided into 4 teams (cleverly named Team 1, Team 2, Team 3 and Team 4) and were given their breifing for the days Corporate Activities that lay ahead. The shallenge was simple - to accumulate as many points as possible throughout the afternoon in a bid to lift the coveted Team Challenge Company Winners Trophy.
The 4 teams rotated around the various Corporate Activities on show, which included Axe Throwing, Laser Clay Pigeon Shooting, Archery and Quad Biking. Team performances were of incredibly high standard throughout the afternoon, but it was the special individual contributions of some team members that seperated the wheat from the chaff! Craig, a descendant of the great Apache tribe (probably) showed what it takes to be champ on the Axe Throwing with an incredible perfect score of 300. And it was left up to Barry to show the rest of the group, and the Team Challenge Company boys, how its done on the Laser Clay Pigeon Shooting.
The scores had been tight troughout the day of Corporate Entertainment, and it would take something special to seperate the teams as the event came to its climax. The scores were checked and verified, let the presentation commence...! Team 1 walked away with soemthing to show for their efforts - a wooden spoon - as they wound up in last spot, beaten only by a few flukey points for Team 3. Team 2 narrowly missed out on victory, and so the Team Challenge Company Winners Trophy went to Team 4, the deserving winners after sensational performances throughout the afternoon.
The fun did not stop there, as the guests were treated to some Evening Entertainment in the shape of an Executive Quiz which took place through dinner. This time the group were able to come up with some half decent team names, and so The Under Achievers, The Misfits, Norfolk N' Chance and The Sheep Shaggers prepared to do battle in the Executive Quiz. It would be a night of hilarity, with potentially some of the worst answers ever provided...!
The teams struggled valiantly through the various Executive Quiz Rounds, which included Guess Who, The Sports Round, Celebrity Challenge and the ever entertaining Music Round. the scores again proved close, and the Sheep Shaggers did magnificently well to finish in last place! The Under Achievers were pipped by thhe Misfits for 2nd place, whilst Team Norfolk N' Chance lifted the Winners Trophy aloft, which was met by the rapturous applause of the onlooking crowd.
A fantastic afternoon of Corporate Entertainment had been enjoyed by all, and the Executive Quiz provided the perfect Evening Entertainment to wrap the whole day up. A big thank you must go to Pat Ross for doing yet another tremendous job in organising such a successful event - here's to the next one!
