Quiz Night with Dril-Quip
A fantastic Dril-Quip group enjoyed a memorable night of Evening Entertainment at The Marriot Hotel with a fast paced and frantic Executive Quiz Night.
The Evening Entertainment had begun with a classy Black and White Themed Awards Ceremony which marked long service employment with Dril-Quip. As the ceremony drew to a close the hilarity kicked off, starting with dividing the guests into their teams. The teams were asked to come up with some team names - and so Paul Black's Boys, Lotus Regal, Christie's Crusader, The 25ers and The Winners prepared to do battle as the Executive Quiz Night began.
The Executive Quiz Night started with a bang as the teams went head to head in the fast and furious Hit Or Miss Round. Unfortunately Len and Meredith weren't up to much in this ever challenging round, leading their team to disaster before the Executive Quiz Night had even got going! It was left up to Jim to keep a cool head as the round came to its climax, winning maximum points for Christie's Crusaders. I would never have guessed that Jim was a bit of a legend on the dancefloor...but how he proved me wrong!
The Executive Quiz Night continued with even more hilarity,and a multitude of rounds which included Guess Who, The Sports Round and The Music Round, where Paul Black's boys decided to get a little heavy handed with their take on the tunes...! Though the welding boys in the Lotus Regal team had been the most vocal throughout the night, they were pitiful during The Music Round, providing some answers which they should surely be embarrassed with.
As The Executive Quiz drew to a close the scores where tight, with nothing to seperate the top teams. There could only be one round to seperate the wheat from the chaff - the mighty Animal Race! The fur flew as team faced off head-to-head. It was tight, but with just seconds remaning, The 25ers grabbed the lead and stayed there, outlasting the rest of the teams to claim the gleaming Team Challenge Company Winners Trophy.
The Dril-Quip Executive Quiz Night was a great success, and thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended. A big thank you must go to Lara Beech who did a fantastic job in organising such a memorable night of Evening Entertainment, and everybody at Team Challenge Company looks forward to the next event with Dril-Quip.

lan and Meredith - you called your team "The Winners" - well you did come in the Top 10 - out of only 5 Teams !
Next time more questions on all things Kiwi...that would be only fair !

Thank you to all at Team Challenge who helped out with our Awards night. I have had compliments from those that attended which should really be directed to you guys. You made the night relaxing and good fun for me and everyone that attended!
