An enthusiastic group from Tommy's Hair joined Event Management specialists Team Challenge Company for an entertaining afternoon of Team Building on a glorious day at Cringletie House.

Reports of a 'Wild Welsh Bunch' invading Scotland for a team weekend away were confirmed when the group joined the Team Challenge Company Team outside for the start of the Team Building event, where they were split into two teams - The Spooners (how appropriate!) and The Winners? (how inappropriate!). The two teams prepared themselves to compete head-to-head in a number of fun-filled Team Building Activities, both vying to lift the much sought after Winners Trophy.

The Team Building kicked-off with a hilarious installment of Mini Highland Games, were the teams learned how to Toss the Caber and Fling the Welly, scoring as many points as possible towards winning that trophy. Esther and Tommy awarding some additional prizes, with Shaune receiving the 'Most Likely to be a Highlander Award' for his effort in tartan attire. The Stewart managed to pick up the not so illustrious 'Can't Catch a Haggis to Save His Life Award', a skill which he continued to demonstrate throughout the afternoon session.

Next up was the Team Treasure Hunt, a tricky Team Building task in which our Event Managers have often had to find team members who have wandered off the beaten track...and this time was no different! Gavyn was presented with the 'Can Actually Use a Compass Award', a feat which was perhaps not so difficult when considering hsi team-mates skills...! Stacey picked up the 'Nature Lover Award', as she ensured that she fell into more bushes in a single day than anybody else has in their lifetime!

The fun continued as the Team Building Activities continued to become more and more challenging, with String Test and Rollerball the final two tasks facing the teams. The Winners (by name, not by nature...) performed less than great on the String Test, losing team-member Callum for what seemed like an eternity. Tommy, AKA The Construction King, shone in the Rollerball, despite the fact his team failed miserably...aww well, always next time Tommy.

As the Team Building afternoon drew to a close, the scores were tallied and the announcement was made...! Nervous faces looked on as the scores were read out. And, in 2nd place (LAST) was, of course, The Winners?, with a score of 3500 points, who came up rather excitedly to claim the Wooden Spoon. But nicking the victory by just 200 points was the mighty Spooners, who were crowned Team Challenge Company champions to the delight of their supporters.

A fantastic afternoon of Team Building was enjoyed by all, and though only one team could walk away a winner, we hope everybody left with great memories of their day of Team Building in Bonnie Scotland. A big Thank You must go to Esther, who worked hard to ensure the event was such a success. Her continued enthusiasm ensured the Event Management ran smoothly from start to finish...and it also helped that she is perhaps the most competitive organiser we have ever met!!! Everybody at Team Challenge Company looks forward to working with you and the Tommy Hair team again.
