Following a day of conferencing at Norwood House Hotel, an adventurous group from Schlumberger gathered together for a Team Building Treasure Hunt.

The group was divided into 4 teams before being presented with the mission brief. The Team Building task for the day was, starting from Aberdeen city centre, to follow a set of cryptic clues which would lead them on a 2 mile Treasure Hunt around the city, finding as many of the 'Treasure Sites' as possible. Trust me, it sounds a lot easier than these teams made it out to be...!

Team 3 got themselves off to a flying start to the Team Building task, somehow convincing a passerby to tak a photograph of the team as every team-memeber tried to squeeze into the smallest phonebox you have ever seen...to say it wasn't the prettiest picture ever may be a slight understatement!

The other teams felt the key to coming out on top in the Team Building day was to follow the questions, and so concentrated all their efforts on working out those ever so tough cryptic clues. In no time at all Teams 1 and 2 were zipping about Aberdeen, with Team 4 never far behind.
On completing as many of the weird and wonderful tasks the teams could within the timeframe, the group headed back to Norwood House in high spirits and high hopes, every team believing they had done enough to be crowned Team Building champions for the day.

The scores were tight, with each and every team performing massively well right throughout the Team Building task. Team 2 finished up in Fourth (LAST) with 37 points, whilst Team 1 and Two could only be seperate by a single point, scoring 41 and 42 respectively. And so, it was Team 3 and their phone box antics that won out on the day, scoring an impressive 44 points and walking away with the Team Challenge Company Winners Trophy.
Though only one team could be crowned champions, we are sure everybody enjoyed a fantastic day of Team Building on their Aberdeen Treasure Hunt. The teams performed excellently together, we all had a great laugh, and we all look forward to seeing everybody again for the next Team Building event...perhaps an exotic Treasure Hunt in the Bahamas could be arranged!!!
