A 9-strong group from Serco Health FM enjoyed an intensive afternoon of Team Building with Event Management specialists Team Challenge Company on a typical Scottish spring day at Forest Hills.

The group was divided into 2 teams, which would compete head-to-head at each of the Team Building activities throughout the day. The Team Building afternoon then kicked off with the first challenge with the ever difficult ice-breaker, Helium Stick. Both teams worked very well together, and produced great results, almost touching the ground within the given time - a tremendous achievement. Jenny was of particular skill...remaining in her own little world throughout the task!

The teams then rotated around a number of Team Building activities, which included Drum Bridge, Stepping Stones and Blind Intent. The Scrammbled Egg Team Building task saw great design evolve to become a great creation, as Graeme, Teresa, Vanessa, Sandra and Lorna worked efficiently and effectively to float the egg to safety.

Communication skills were tested to the limit in Blind Intent, were the ability of Mike and Vanessa shone through to complete the Team Building challenge in style. The Drum Bridge proved difficult, but the Serco Sharks were more than up to the task, designing a unique and brand new route that ensured they and crossed the gorge safely and quickly.
The Team Building afternoon was rounded off with both teams battling it out on the Laser Clays, with some great sharp-shooters on site putting the rest to shame. As the Team Building activities closed, the scores were rounded up and checked, before the news was broken to the group...who would walk away champions, nobody knew!

It was undoubtedly close, but as we all know, there has to be a last place, and this time the 'honour' went to the Serco Sharks team, which was made up by Mike, Pamela, Graeme and Jenny. They were then forced to watch on as the winning team of Greame, Teresa, Vanessa, Sandra and Lorna stepped up to collect the Team Challenge Company Winners Trophy and revel in their success during the Team Building afternoon.

The day had proved a great success, with all present thoroughly enjoying all the Team Building activities on offer. A big thank-you must go to Teresa, who did a fantastic job in organising such a fun filled event, and we at Team Challenge Company are certainly looking forward to working with you and the rest of the 'Serco Gang' again soon.
A great team to work with and full of enthusiasm despite the damp weather! Some very creative and imaginative designs at the Scrammbled Egg challenge, well done!
It was great to work with Teresa organising the Serco Health FM Team Building event and we look forward to hopefully working with you again soon in the near future
Thanks Genya
