The end of May had arrived and the Selex Galileo Summer Corporate Fun Day was here again, and this year it was bigger and better than every before...and as always, the sunshine was on hand to ensure maximum enjoyment throughout the afternoon.

Almost 2000 excited guests waited outside the gates of the magnificent Hopetoun House in eager anticipation of all the fabulous Corporate Fun Day activities on offer. As the masses made their way around the corner they were not disappointed with the site that met their eyes. The entire grounds had been transformed, and with around 35 seperate Corporate Fun Day games and activities on offer, there was endless hous of fun to be had throughout the day.

The Inflatable Fun Zones saw children and adults of all ages battle it out on the Gladiator Duel, hang tight on the Surf Simulator, race off on the Assault Course, ride the slope on the Giant Slide, bounce for the skies on all our Bouncey Castles, and much much more. The small children's zone provided the young ones with their very own ball pools and slides, bouncey castles and adventure playground, as well as the opportunity to have your face painted - there was plenty of spectacular designs to be seen right around the grounds.

Target Zone was another big hit, with Air Rifles, Archery and Laser Clays providing hours of fun for countless guests throughout the entire Corporate Fun Day. There was magnificent Barbeque food on offer for all guests, and was specially served by some of the Selex Galileo Directors - what a treat it was to see them all kitted out in their uniquely styled aprons!!! The sun shone the whole day, and the ice cream went down a treat for all those trying to stay nice and cool.

There were many competitions taking place throughout the Corporate Fun Day, with the first kicking off on the Bucking Bronco. The heat made it tough, but the Mighty Mikey held on for longest and bagged himself the Team Challenge Company Winners Trophy. Further competitions took place on the Laser Clays and Archery, with some of the finest shots turning up to show off their skills to the onlooking crowds.

As the fantastic Corporate Fun Day entertainment drew to a close, it was time for the Children and Adults to gather for the big finale...the It's A Knockout Races. They arrived in their droves to watch on as the teams competed in a number of hilarious events, which included the Space Hopper Dash, the Ski-Race and the Sack Challenge, whilst the young ones raced in the Egg & Spoon and Flat Races. The crowds inspired the 'athletes' to amazing results, and the water-buckets and super-soaker guns provided that extra bit of motivation - and certainly kept the onlookers on their toes!

The sun shone on as the Corporate Fun Day came to an end, and the guests made their way back to the coaches and cars for their journey home, but not before getting the last sweet bite of the day at the popcorn machine. The entire event had been a massive success, and as the guests departed they took with them tremendous memories of their time at Hopetoun House and the Selex Galileo Corporate Fun Day.

The organising committee had worked very hard to make the entire Corporate Fun Day such a great occasion, and the event was a true credit to the effort and enthusiasm that they had put in throughout the months of planning that lead up to the day. A final thank you must also go to the volunteers who helped raise lots of money for Charity. It was a pleasure to work with Selex Galileo once again, and everybody at Team Challenge Company are thoroughly looking forward to seeing you all again soon.
