Quiz Night with Chandlers Ltd
Around 30 excited employees of Chandlers Ltd enjoyed a fantastic night of Evening Entertainment at Selsdon Park Hotel in the shape of a fun-filled and hilarious Quiz Night.
The group were split into 5 team. And so, The Beauty School Drop Outs, The Usual Suspects, The Inquizeters, University Challenged and The Sidelights would do battle in a bid to walk away victorious and take home the much coveted Team Challenge Company Winners Trophy.
The teams would compete throughout a number of different Quiz Night Rounds, which included Blockbusters, the Music Round, Name the Movie, Cars of the Stars and many many more. The Usual Suspects proved pheonomenal competitors at the Movie Quotes Round, scoring a record breaking 900 points. When asked how they managed to score so highly, one team member answered, 'I don't get out much, so all I do is watch movies...!' It seems it paid off well this time. Not to mention the star of the evening Reuben who answered the hardest question of all within the guess what and where round!!
The fun Quiz Night Rounds were interspersed with some hilarious Generation Game style challenges, with the teams competing to score as many points as possible on Higher or Lower, Hit Or Miss and the Giraffe Build. It was the Cake Decorating challenge that provided some of the highlights of the evening, with some of the most incredible creations we have ever seen. We had Ice-Man, Super Baby and The Chandlers Cake, but the winning design went to the incredible Bath Man, created by the very artistic Inquizeters.
As the Quiz Night began to draw to an end, the scores at the top were very tight. There was one big Finale that provided one last chance to score essential points towards lifting the Championship Trophy - The Peel Off. It was fast paced and frantic, with potato skins flying all across the room. Sweat dripped from the brows of the competitors as they gave every ounce of effort they had left towards the final challenge. Eventually the dust settled, and it was University Challenged who had come out on top!
With the final scores of the Quiz Night counted and verified, the time all had been waiting for had arrived...the results! Coming up to collect the Wooden Spoon for their last place finish, scoring just 4000 points, was the disasterous Usual Suspects...Who Let The Dogs Out!!! Beauty School Drop Outs and The Sidelights came in 3rd and 4th respectively (unlucky Stuart, again!) And so, the top two...! Finishing in second place with 5100 points was The Inquizeters, leaving the mighty University Challenged to step up and collect the glimmering Team Challenge Company Winners Trophy. This is what it feels like to be a winner!
The entire Quiz Night had been a huge success, with all in attendance from Chandlers Ltd thoroughly enjoying the whole evening. A big thank-you goes out to Casey and his team for organising such a fun-filled and exciting Quiz Night.
