Indoor Entertainment and Fun Casino Night with CIGNA

The Erskine Bridge Hotel provided the venue for this year's CIGNA Indoor Entertainment and Fun Casino Night Event, which saw an entire day of fun and hilarity split into afternoon and evening sessions.

The Indoor Entertainment provided the laughter throughout the afternoon session, and took the shape of our unique Indoor Entertainment package Games Mania. Nearly 140 competitors arrived in eager anticipation of the exciting day ahead, and they were certainly not to be disappointed! The group had been seperated into 18 teams and were prepared to do battle across a wide and varied range of Indoor Entertainment activities, competing head-to-head in a bid to win as many points as possible towards winning the illustrious Team Challenge Company Championship Trophy. The atmosphere was electric and the crowds were ecstatic as the main event kicked-off!

The Indoor Entertainment activities on show ranged from Table Tennis to Foosball, where Sharon inspired Team 8 with her battle-cry, 'just pretned you're David Beckham'! Darts and Basketball were also on the agenda, as well as Air Hockey and Giant Buzz Me - which proved hugely frustrating for every team but one...the mighty Team 3, the only team to complete the challenge! Steven rid the wave of dreams on the Surf Simulator, outlasting everyone else with a sensational 93 seconds...legend! But perhaps the best performer of the Indoor Entertainment afternoon was a man that quickly became known as 'Big Brainbox', the Mastermind himself, Big Stu! Stuart's incredible Puzzle Corner skills scored big points for Team 8...it's just a shame the rest weren't up to much!

With the scores tight and everything to play for, the final few Indoor Entertainment games almost seemed a matter of life and death for some teams...especially the ones who were really rubbish but just didnt want to finish last! It was incredible to see the lengths that some people were willing to go to for a few extra points! With all the head-to-head matches done and dusted, the time had come that everybody had been waiting for...the results. In the interests of complete fairness and hilarity (especially for Team 4...who were last), we have included an entire results table below. As you can see, it was unbelievably close up at the top, but as we all know there can be only one, and this year it was the turn of the incredible Team 18.

Following the afternoon of Indoor Entertainment, the fun and hilarity continued long into the night with a fantastic Fun Casino Night and Karaoke. This time it was down to the individual guests to take on the mantle of winning the Team Challenge Company Winners Trophy, turning their initial stake of £50 fun-money into as much as they could possibly could by gambling big on the Blackjack and Roulette Tables. It seems Ross and Vicky may need to seek some 'help' following an incredible 2 hour stint over at the Blackjack Table...especially since they ending up losing all their money anyway! It was again a close call as to who would come out on top and win the Fun Casino Night, with Graham on £120 and Stewart on £243 pushing the champ all the way. But David held off the late charge and picked up the trophy for his £340 profit!

The Karaoke was an undoubted highlight of the event, with some fantastic prizes handed out to those exceptional talents amongst the CIGNA group. Steven and Andi secured the Most Entertaining Award with their very original version of Kids! Best Female Singer went to Gillian for her I Wanna Dance with Somebody, and the Male Award went to the Mighty Ted with Mack the Knife.

The entire event, from the Indoor Entertainment in the afternoon right through to the Fun Casino Night in the evening had been a great success, with all in attendance thoroughly enjoying the hilarious fun and games. A big thank-you must go to Lesley and Elaine for their part in orgainsing such a memorable event, and we at Team Challenge Company certainly look forward to working with the CIGNA bunch again soon!
