On arrival at Lews Castle the we were fired up and ready for a challenging Team Building day, we had worked with the team last year however a smaller group back then and we knew it would be a competitive event.
The teams were selected and Team 7 looked to be the most intelligent however looks can be decieving. The Team Building activities included, Casket, Rollerball, Archery, String Test Laser Clay Shooting and Target Golf.
With the 12 teams ready for
the off the event was run on a head to head basis. If team 7 looked intelligent then team 12 seemed liked they may need some transfers if they were to make a play for the top 5 positions.
Team 9 arrived at the Casket Challenge and after some debate and a lot of sticky tape they had manufactured what can only be described as the longest fishing pole we have ever seen in this game. Although a spectical to look at they did manage a great removal effort. Only one team failed on this Team Building event but it would be a shame to name them however if was either Team 2, Team 4 or 7...
After three events it was team 3 who were showing signs of taking the trophy
followed very closely by team 9 and team 10.
The final Team Building activity approached and spirits were flying and we all returned back to hear the final scores.
It was no shock that the 12th place or losing team was team 12 with a small score of 1850, it was fair to say that the Archery let them down and so did their shooting, and Casket Challenge and I guess in many ways they were very poor at the Golf..hehe
After settling the crowd the scores from 11th - 3rd were read out leaving 3 teams up for the trophy and they were Team 9, 10 & 1.
It's always a pleasure working with Lews Castle College and by the sounds of the cheers you all had a brilliant day a special thanks to Dave and his team for organising all the fine detail without such committment these great Team Building events would never happen.
