We hope this blog will bring back some great memories of your fantastic Executive Quiz Night. Check out all the photos from the evening, and don't forget to leave us a comment at the bottom of the page with some of your highlights and favourite moments
The venue has no name just 28 York Place but that didn't stop record nembers turning out for the Charity Interactive Quiz Night held and attended by employees of Aegon Asset Management.
The buffet grub was laid on and was hoovered up in minutes by the teams awaiting the start of the much anticipated Interactive Quiz Night. We were charged and ready and with Dozer on the decks anything was possible. Score Master for the evening was Stevo so it was sure to be a Controversial event.
7.40pm came and we kicked off the Interactive Quiz Night with Hit or Miss, the winning team in this early round was Norfolk'N Chance, a dodgy name but impressive Quizzing Stats.
It became clear from the start that one team in particular was designed to make up the numbers and almost the fashion as well, Team Edinburgh Trammers they called themselves and managed to score the lowest score ever seen in the Guess who round .
Round 3 was Guess What and Where and the leaders Norfolf'N Chance took a tumble on this round, a surprise push came from Murphys Law scoring 9 out of 10 netting them 900 pts. The Interactive Quiz Night took a turn from here and with Giraffe Build came a huge shock for the entire group even Team Densa found it hard to believe , Edinburgh Trammers took the top slot and earned 1000pts and with that win put themselves in first place. There were shouts from the crowd RECOUNT RECOUNT.
Giraffe Build was followed by Name the Year, Cop Theme Tunes and Snooze you Lose, competition at this Interactive Quiz was high and just when we thought things couldn't get any rowdier Tweed Jacket man took a pop at our own Quiz Master with an accusation that is still unproven "Is that a Polyester shirt your wearing" he called out, the group loved the banter and we awarded him a bonus point for doing an impression of Jimmy Carr. (Made that bit up but we have to get our own back)
The final results of the Quiz Night are highlighted below with the top three teams making it through to the final game Animal Race. The winner of this would bring home the Champagne and a Swag Bag each. The three teams were Kids Table, Pass the Dutchie and Norfolk'N Chance. After a massive high energy battle the winners of the Ageon Asset Management Interactive Quiz was The Kids Table.
The evening was organised to raise money for the two charities and the total amount raised was close to £1,000 so a huge thank you to each and everyone of you for contributing to the raffle and other fund raising efforts, finally a big cheer for all of the very hard working committee members as without such dedication, nights like this would never happen.
A wonderful team of people to work with and I have decided to sell my shirt and look for a cotton one..haha. Well done for raising so much money its a credit to you all and the organising committee.
Stay safe
Gerry
It was an all-round fun evening with no second of boredom. Good job guys!
