Quiz Night in Tortworth

The Executive Quiz Night for HFMA took place in the wonderful setting of the Tortworth Court Hotel in Gloucester. With a group of 170 strong they were broken up into 17 teams. The evening began with a welcome from our Quiz Guru Stevo and the stage was set for the Quiz Night Battle.
The Quiz Night began with our hilarious Hit and Miss to get everybody up and out of their seats, there were a few mischievous teams trying to get away with cheating but the eagle eye of our very own referee Big Bob Scott kept everybody on their toes. He soon had the potential cheaters put in their place and made the cheaters sit down....ha ha.
With Team 8 coming in clear winners after the first round it wasn't long before the competitive streak in many of the guests became clear for all to see...! As we say in the business GAME ON !
The next round of the Quiz Night was Guess Who, it was evident that the teams don't get out much and spend many hours reading Ok Magazine as the scores for this round were really high with one team getting top marks. Well done Team 9 your the special ones.
General Knowledge is always a tough Quiz Night round, wasn't the best round for many teams as hardly any of them were even close to full marks apart from the almighty Team 12 who put it in a fantastic performance to go into the next round as leaders of the pack - how clever are you !.
With the next 5 rounds being Guess What & Where, Higher or Lower, Guess the Advert, Movie Quotes and Sport it was the sport round that caused the biggest upset of the night. The controvesy at this fantastic Quiz Night came when it was discovered Team 1 were using the Blackberry to find answers, this in itself isn't a crime however being caught is, the chants said it all and the team hung their heads in shame.
With 3 rounds left it was a sprint to the finish line and the Quiz Night evening was over as quickly as it had started. Time had come to reveal the winners and losers and below we have let the world see the results
