Corporate Entertainment at Ballathie House Hotel
After a busy day in the training room what better way to relax than with Team Challenge Company hosting your Corporate Entertainment competition of flood lit archery on the grounds of the beautiful Ballathie House Hotel in Perthshire, on a calm, still evening ...but slightly nippy!
After the teams were briefed on safety, and with advice on the running of the competition that lay before them, the evenings competition started.
The teams then moved on to the flood lit lawns, as they prepared to battle it out head-to-head on the field of Archery. It is fairly safe to say that there were no expert archers amongst the group at the start, but team 2 played a stormer right from the off. Technique was faultless, aim impeccable and brilliance undeniable but that arrow did bounce back out...you were robbed!
Following a few rounds of light hearted practice and some expert tuition, each and every one of the competitors went for gold in an incredible display of shooting prowess - and it's true that Lorraine had the odd glimpse of archery genius.
Scoring rounds followed with team 2 taking an early lead but finishing neck and neck with team 3, the odd flash of inspiration coming from team 4, but poor team 1 hitting the green on more than one occasion - John tells me the sun was in his eyes...at 6pm in Scotland?
The next round of the Corporate Entertainment event was the balloon shoot, a game which saw a few become heroes. Less can be said for Team 1, who proved not only the most competitive but the most vocal with their jibes against poor Scott..! The final archery Game challenge was the mighty closest to the bull, an event which saw Team 3 forge ahead to take the Team Challenge Company Trophy...what legends!
