CapRock PACT Attitude was the theme for this Team Training event and with four key behaviours the focal point- Passion, Accountability, Courage and Transparency, we were ensuring these were at the forefront of everyone's mind throughout the day.
The Team Building event had an early kick off as the bus rolled into the beautiful Pittodrie House Hotel at 8.30am, after light refreshments the group was taken through to the Billiard Suite and broken up into 5 teams, these were the Red Herrings, Mighty Blues, Yellow Canary, Green House Rock, and The Futures Not Bright ( Orange) - have you guessed the theme yet! Objectives were set for the day both by individuals and the teams and it was game on.
The overall objective was to work together to achieve success in each of the tasks and each team was in competition against each other whilst working toward a common goal of Safety, Communication and Teambuilding right at the top of the list. ![]()
After the first two Team Building activities it was the Mighty Blues and the Green House Rock that took the early lead- just look at their Giraffes! Before lunch the teams had the EGG DROP Team Building challenge to take part in and with their PACT cards choose to play them as jokers for double points if they exemplified that attribute during the task- so it was pretty much Omelets all round - at least we missed The Bride!.
Lunch in the excellent Orangery followed with a re focus on safety and playing the PACT cards to full advantage as the tasks became even more challenging.
The Rollerball Team Building activity was completed by all teams and some had played their Joker Cards which gave them double points. The best team on this task were team Green House Rock , with a fantastic time of 38.15 seconds, and deserved the points and the huge respect that went with it. On the Spiders Web - we saw a miracle- Will from the Red Herrings actually levitated - what a party trick !
During the Team Building tasks opportunities were given to share experiences and knowledge of the tasks-this caused a surge in activity between the groups and some clever negotiations and gamesmanship began.
In total in the afternoon five Team Building activities were taken on including Sheep Pen, Spiders Web, String Test, and Target Air Rifle Shooting and with more points up for grabs the focus and competition was at an all time high .
As the bell tolled to mark the end of the Team Building activities the teams returned back inside to take part in the Prize Giving after a round up of the objectives of the day and a commitment from each individual to take back into the CapRock workplace those key learning points they had taken from the day..
Some bad news followed when it came to the Scores On The Doors, we will leave it to you to decide if this was bribery that won out on the day ...NOT !.
Special Thanks went out to Steve, Kirsten and Genevieve for their outstanding organisation of the day to great applause from all.
The Team Development Training day with CapRock Communications had proved to be a complete success, with all in attendance thoroughly enjoying the Team Building challenges and tasks throughout the day, your effort and enthusiasm really shone through during the event , and we at Team Challenge Company certainly look forward to working with you again in the near future.
