We hope this blog will bring back some great memories of your fantastic Team Building Event. Check out all the photos from the event, and don't forget to leave us a comment at the bottom of the page with some of your highlights and favourite moments!
An excited and enthusiastic group of nearly one hundred from GE Energy enjoyed a fantastic and fun-filled day of Team Building at Mercure Ardoe House Hotel, which took the shape of Team Challenge Company's very special and very popular Crystal Challenge.
The group (which resembled a rabble during the early morning briefing) were divided into 12 teams, all of them ready to battle it out across a wide and far-ranging array of Team Building games and activities in a bid to crown themselves Crystal Challenge Champions and take home the much coveted Team Challenge Company Team Building Winners Trophy. Though the teams got off to a bit of a slow start (especially when some individuals struggled to remember which team they were even in), the Crystal Challenge Team Building event was soon well underway, and the competition quickly began to hot up.
The 12 teams were tasked with completing a number of team and individual Team Building activities within an allocated time in order to collect as many crystals as possible. The teams with the most amount of crystals come the end of the day would head into the Crystal Challenge Dome and aim to win it all by collecting those Golden Tickets. The Team Building games included the physically demanding Tube Test, the mentally stimulating Chicken, Fox and Grain Puzzle, the mind-boggling maze of the Labyrinth, the exhilarating Quad-Golf challenge and the ever-difficult Code Breaker.
Some of the most notable performances on the day came at what has become known as the 'Impossible' Towers of Hanoi Team Building Challenge. It seems that impossible is nothing for those of GE Energy, with a sensational 3 crystals awarded for seperate completions of the Team Building task throughout the day - quite incredible! Other notable performances came from Simon and the amazing Team 7. Unfortunately, more often than not the performances were notable for how bad they were! Never have we had a chicken fall in 3 times!!!
And so, as the Team Building day neared an end, it was time to head to the Crystal Challenge Dome. First the bottom place teams battled it out to for last place. Team 7 somehow avoided the Wooden Spoon by the narrowest of margins, and so it went to the equally deserving Team 12! The challenge for Top of the Pops in the Crystal Challenge Dome went down to the wire, and only a few of those Golden Tickets seperated the top teams. Moira and Team 1 just missed out on the trophy despite a valiant (and slightly scary/violent) display by Dave-o in the Dome. And so, the Team Challenge Company Team Building Winners Trophy went to the most consistent team all day, the mighty and all-conquering Team 11!
The whole Crystal Challenge Team Building event had been a great success, and it seemed that everybody had really enjoyed a fabulous day of fun and laughter. A big thank you must go to Moira and Maggie, whose hard work and dedication to the organisation of the event ensured that it delighted everybody in attendance. The group from GE Energy were great fun to work with, and we at Team Challenge Company certainly look forward to seeing you all again in the future
Wow, what an amazing Crystal Challenge Event this was!
The whole day was so much fun, and though I was nervous following the dour/confused reception forllowing the early morning brief, the entire group from GE Energy were a real pleasure to work with, and I was kept laughing all day long (mostly by Simon!)
I hope the laughs there were laughs-a-plenty for everybody else in attendance, it really was a great event I'm sure it will live long in the memory for many. A big shout out for Moira and Maggie, who did a fantastic job putting together such a successful event. Once again, it was a pleasure to work with everybody, and I certainly hope to see you all again on an event in the near future

aka Richard O'Brien wannabe!
Maggie and I would like to thank Team Challenge for a great day, we all thoroughly enjoyed it. We have yet to hear a negative comment. The energy of your staff certainly enthused everyone. Nothing was too much trouble. We hope to work with you all again in the future.
Simon, Simon, Simon- where did it all go wrong young man !
Quality perfomance from all the teams at the beautiful Ardioe House Hotel and the weather was kind to all- some fantastic efforts from all the teams throughout the day and it has to be said Team 11 thoroughly deserved the Team Challenge Trophy - what a peak performance team !
Moira and Maggie - you need that little bit more effort from your teams for next time !
Great day with GE Energy and we hope to work with you all again soon

Wonderful day really did enjoy it. Some really good photos but do you have the one taken of me next to my bullseye on the Archery?
Trevor, it was a wonderful shot and it's just like the myth of catching, but not landing a big fish!!!
We will search the cameras again and hopefully share the glory with the rest of the world.
