We hope this blog will bring back some great memories of your fantastic It's A Knockout Event. Check out all the photos from the event, and don't forget to leave us a comment at the bottom of the page with some of your highlights and favourite moments!
A sense of excitement and nervous anticipation filled the air as a group of around 50 employees walked onto the playing fields at Leeds University, their eyes fixed on what lay before them...an afternoon of wild, wacky and fun-filled It's A Knockout entertainment.
The pre-match nerves were soon settled as the group was divided into 8 teams, all of which prepared themselves to do battle across a wide range of Corporate Entertainment and It's A Knockout challenges. The teams would rotate around a number of these challenges, scoring as many points as possible in a bid to br crowned It's A Knockout champions and take home the much coveted Team Challenge Company It's A Knockout Winners Trophy. It seemed from the off-set that the competition would be close, but there could be only one team who would walk away champs...who would it be...? (From the beginning it was clear it wouldn't be Conrad's Lemon Team!)
The 8 teams competed for top honours across 4 seperate Corporate Entertainment activities, namely; Laser Clay Pigeon Shooting, Axe Throwing, Archery and the ever-popular Bucking Bronco. Then, of course, there was the almighty It's A Knockout zone, with its crazy and hilarious It's A Knockout races and Inflatable Fun. Some teams struggled to get to grips with the Caterpillar Run, some triumphed on the Gladiator Duel, many bounced to victory on the Space Hopper Dash, and few looked agile enough to break any world records in the Sack Race, especially big Dave-o and the Blue Team.
And then there was the It's A Knockout Grand Finale...The Assault Course! We had two frantic and frenzied races over the 75ft of pure Inlatable Fun, a fantastic way to round off the It's A Knockout Event. It seemed by this stage that many of the female competitors had outlasted their male colleagues, with Claire, Tammy, Ellen and Emma all storming home to strong finishes...what a bunch of amazing athletes (used in the loosest sense of the word, of course!)
As the It's A Knockout event neared an end, and with all the scores culminated, checked and verified, it was time to announce the Team Challenge Company It's A Knockout Winners! But first, and always more hilariously, we would find out who was taking home the Wooden Spoon. Though consistent all day, the Pink Team were consistently rubbish (not really, but we'll say you were just for fun), and wound up in last place with 6400 points. The rest of the scores were pretty tight throughout, and for the top two it couldn't be tighter, with just 900 points seperating them. Unfortunately, the Cerise Team could not overhaul the Lime Greens, who stepped up to a large round of applause (and the odd boo) to collect the Team Challenge Company It's A Knockout Winners Trophy.
A fantastic day of It's A Knockout entertainment had been enjoyed by all, it really was a fun-filled day and there was loud laughter and cheers from start to finish. A big thank-you must go to William and Conrad, who put a tremendous amount of hard work into organising such a successful event for all, it was a real credit to you and your company. It was a great pleasure to work with everybody, and we at Team Challenge Company hope to see you all again in the near future...you better get training for the next It's A Knockout challenge!
This It's A Knockout Event was tremendous fun, such a great laugh and a great team spirit shown throughout!
Big Dave-o was mental, the ladies were amongst some of the most competitive I have ever seen (especially on the Gladiator Duel), but my personal highlight was 'The Battle of Bill and Ben - The Flowerpot Men'
Really great day, I hope you all enjoyed the It's A Knockout experience as much I did, and I hope to see you all for the re-match very soon
