Team Challenge Company meet Kaye Adams

KAYE ADAMS IS LET LOOSE ON JOGSCOTLAND 5K ROUTE

ProToday saw the original 'Loose Women' presenter Kaye Adams lace up her trainers and run the Co-operative jogscotland 5k route at Glasgow Green, with jogscotland's Manager Alistair Currie and Directors of Team Challenge Company, Stephen Hazley and Gerard Crowley.

Kaye, whose successful career has seen her present on the award winning 'Loose Women' chat show for seven years and also guest star on a large range of TV shows including 'This Morning' and 'I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here', enjoyed jogging the 5k route, which is known as a flat and fast course and also the sixth event in the Stewarts Scottish Road Race Grand Prix. Kaye was happy to show her support of the 5k series and of the jogscotland programme by saying: "I really enjoyed getting out there today and running the 5k route, it was a great kick start for my training. I'm sure all the participants on the 24th June will really enjoy the course and it sounds like it will be a great evening."

"I strongly applaud the work that jogscotland are doing to get more Scottish people active through running. The Co-operative jogscotland 5k events offer everyone the chance to get involved and reap the benefits of participating in physical activity."

Jog ScotTo help promote healthy lifestyles within the workplace, jogscotland has teamed up with Team Challenge Company to bring a workplace challenge element to the 5ks. Team Challenge Company jogscotland 5k Corporate Challenge is aimed at getting workers out from behind the desk and enjoying some exercise as a team, while raising money for jogscotland's chosen charities and competing to win some fantastic prizes donated by Team Challenge Company, including a free team-building day at the winner's offices. Stephen Hazley, Director of the Team Challenge Company said: "Team Challenge Company is proud and privileged to sponsor the 5K Corporate Challenge, and assist with fundraising and team prizes while encouraging corporate clients out of the office and into their trainers."

"We will have an exciting games and activity stand at all of the events where participants can meet our team, have some fun and talk with us about our range of Corporate Service, Activities, Entertainment and Event Management Services, and of course step up to our 5k Corporate Challenge!"

Team Challenge CompanyThe 5k challenge series which is sponsored by the Co-operative is a nationwide series that is unique in the fact that they are run mid-week in the summer evenings in June, rather than the weekend like other events. The 5k challenges visit five scenic locations throughout Scotland and focus largely on having fun rather than getting the fastest time. It is irrelevant as to whether participants walk, jog or run the 5k route, the aim is to get the local community out in the fresh air using their region's facilities and enjoying the benefits of physical exercise. Even the children are included in the fun with junior runs being held before the adult event.

The Scottish Co-operative's Chief Officer John McNeill said: "The Scottish Co-operative is at the forefront of promoting healthy food choices and lifestyles, and it is really appropriate that, once again, we are sponsoring the jogscotland 5k challenges which will get people all over Scotland out in the fresh air, getting fit."

Alistair Currie, Manager of jogscotland said: "Thanks to Kaye and Team Challenge Company for showing their support of The Co-operative jogscotland 5k challenges."

"jogscotland works hard to develop opportunities for everyone to be active, irrespective of age or ability. The 5k series offer people the chance to get out within their local community and enjoy the summer evening, while increasing their daily level of activity."

"With entertainment, prizes and goody bags plus the welcoming and friendly jogscotland atmosphere, the Co-operative jogscotland 5k challenges are not to be missed."
