The Swan Hotel

"Here Health and Social Pleasures reign,
Here Polished ease with freedom dwells;
No new nor ancient fount shall gain
A greater fame than Tunbridge Wells."

swan1This description of Royal Tunbridge Wells, written by the poet John Byron, is as fitting today as it was back in 1723.

This tranquil spa town owes its existence to Lord North, who, in 1606, discovered the healing waters bubbling from a spring in the hillside.

The Pantiles are the old and original part of Royal Tunbridge Wells. It is here that Lord North's medicinal waters can still be sampled and where the ancient colonnaded buildings reflect the style and tranquillity of the old town.

The Pantiles Suite, overlooking the historic Pantiles, forms the core of the Swan Hotel's extensive meeting and banqueting facilities. The Suite is elegantly and luxuriously furnished to provide a uniquely tranquil ambience.

swan2This bright, high ceiling, airy room with extensive natural light, offers the ideal location for a conference meeting or banquet. It also benefits from an adjoining break-out room.

The first floor Kendal Suite, named after the original seventeenth century coffee house which stood on this site, is the ideal setting for a banquet or informal party.

The suite can also accommodate a conference or seminar for up to seventy delegates and is capable of being subdivided making excellent syndicate, break-out or display rooms when used in conjunction with the Pantiles Suite. The attractive decor, combined with versatile lighting, creates a mood of warmth in this spacious suite.
