Once a private residence, this 200-year-old house is surrounded by 22 acres of lush gardens and woodland leading down to the shore of Ullswater in the glorious Lake District Countryside. It is, however, only a short 15-minute drive from the M6 motorway. Fourteen of the bedrooms have private balconies with views over the gardens towards the lake, whilst the Regency Restaurant, with its modern and classic menu, has an excellent reputation.

The Macdonald Leeming House boasts 39 beautifully appointed en suite bedrooms and one mini suite. A number ofthese also enjoy superb views over the gardens towards the lake,and are allfurnished to a very high standard indeed. All have private bathroom en suite and satellite television, telephone dataport for internet connection together with all the additional facilities one would expect.

The Macdonald  Leeming House, set in 25 acres of mature gardens and woodland overlooking Lake Ullswater, makes the perfect venue for any event. It is just a short, 15 minute drive from Junction 40 of the M6 motorway. Our proximity to Penrith Station, on the main Euston to Glasgow line, enables delegates to travel by train, with only an eight mile taxi transfer to the hotel.

The Wordsworth Suite, located on the first floor and with balcony views over the gardens, provides excellent boardroom facilities for up to ten delegates.

On the ground floor, The Blue Room is able to accommodate meetings for up to 32 delegates. The Library can also accommodate meetings for up to twenty delegates. It also provides the ideal location for private dining, with our Drawing Rooms available for pre and post dinner drinks.
