The historic Royal Museum and contemporary Museum of Scotland are two of the most unique and impressive venues available in central Edinburgh for evening and day time functions.

The Cramond Lioness, a sandstone lioness from a Roman officer's memorial, is on view in The Early People Gallery. It was discovered in 1997 by a local man after 1800 years under the river bed.
