How it works

Teams launch into this experience with an intriguing film. It details that a few months before filming, a synthetic virus was unleashed on the world. A terrifying virus, which destroys people’s ability to communicate and collaborate.

Tragically a team of international scientists, while developing a vaccine against the virus, became infected. Unable to cooperate, they turned on their colleagues and encrypted, locked up, and hid their findings.

Teams are challenged to recover the vaccine and save the world. In this quest, they must open the boxes, decrypt the codes and bring the right DNA samples to an analyser. Can they discover the vaccine before it’s too late?

Outbreak is a fun and experiential learning experience that enhances teamwork and problem-solving skills in a fun and relaxed environment. Teams will discover that effective communication and active listening are essential ingredients to success. Throughout the experience, participants come to realise that each person’s talent, strength, and capability are important to the effectiveness of the team. Teams will have to learn to collaborate efficiently and effectively within a limited time while developing their collective problem-solving skills.

Learning Outcomes


Flexing your creative muscles is an ingeniously fun way of improving your problem-solving skills. These skills can make a big difference to how teams approach their day to day, back in the workplace. Our creative experiences allow participants to explore within themselves and collaboratively as teams. Ultimately, these experiences are massively rewarding.


Improving collaboration across a team is probably the number one way we can help to improve a team’s performance. If you don’t communicate, you can’t collaborate. We start with communication and get it flowing, then get everyone working together. We have found that creating long-term change in the way teams collaborate can be as simple as getting them into a creative frame of mind. Whether the team task is to work together or compete is up to you.
