Excitement was in the air as the guests arrived at their Family Fun Day, Christmas party, greeted by our dancing elves. Straight into the fun with the promise that a special someone would be arriving very soon. The children all gathered in to call on Santa together, singing Jingle Bells. Santa hadn’t arrived so the children sang louder. Still no Santa? Louder!! Finally with the screams of Jingle Bells, Santa arrived to hand out presents. Each child went to visit Santa in his special Christmas grotto.

Meanwhile, fierce battles were happening on the various games around the room. It was the parents against the children on the giant connect 4 and siblings were getting competitive on the giant jenga and the Wii console. It was time for Santa to head back to Lapland so all the children (and the mums and dads) waved goodbye. Now it was time for the party games, with lots of sweeties up for grabs. Pass the parcel was up first; the children were excitedly tearing the paper apart to shouts of RIP! RIP! RIP! Next up was musical statues; the children got to show off their best dance moves. The dance competition saw a girl and boy each be crowned the best dancer of the day, doing the cha cha slide. It was time for musical bumps now, and for once falling over was a good thing. As the party was winding down the kids played pin the nose on Rudolf. Sadly it was time to say goodbye to our partygoers and welcome in the second group.

The children headed straight for the popcorn and the bouncy castle, talking excitedly about who was soon to arrive. The faint sounds of a sleigh bells were heard as the children gathered in to welcome Santa to their party. All the children were given a special present from Santa. Kids and elves alike were running around after a ball pool ball, playing football. The children built impressive towers with the jenga blocks and got themselves into a tangle playing twister. Meanwhile there were many superheroes and reindeer emerging from the face painting area. Spider man was up against Batman and Captain America during the dance competition. A few mums and dads joined in for musical bumps but the kids were too good for them. The days wrapped up with pin the nose on Rudolf, then it was time to sadly say goodbye and wish everyone a very Merry Christmas. A huge thank you to Glen who arranged such a fantastic day!
