As the 1st of December arrived, Team Challenge Company were back at the beautiful Ardoe House Hotel, this time holding a Children's Christmas Party for the employees and families of Marathon Oil. The festivities began almost immediately as the arrival of Santa Claus could be heard by the vast amount of children eagerly awaiting on the dance floor. With sleigh bells ringing and a Ho Ho Ho, Santa bellowed 'Merry Christmas one and all' as he made his way to the comfort of his grotto. Every child, big and small would meet with Santa throughout the day to collect their gift and ensure they were on the nice list for this year!

The party was in full swing with kids seeing who could jump the highest on the bouncy castle and who could stay hidden for longest in the big ball pool. Competition was fierce on the Obstacle Slide and the Wild West Shoot em up where quite a few staked their claim for the fastest hand in Aberdeen. As usual Ardoe provided a feast for everyone as 12pm came around, mince pies galore with Santa sneaking a few into his sack for the journey back to Lapland. Mrs Claus provided the entertainment for the younger children with some story telling, including the book - When Santa Came To Scotland! Meanwhile in the foyer there were loads of budding golfers honing their skills at the longest putt challenge, mums, dads, boys and girls creating some wonderful Christmas cards at the Arts and Crafts table, while children of all ages could not wait to get their faces painted.
In the Ballroom, the Bucking Bronco was proving as popular as always, with father v son competitions the order for most of the afternoon. High speed, remote control car racing and giant games corner also saw a lot of action! The Team Challenge Jester modelled all sorts of balloons, juggled and spun plates as we moved into our party games. Pass the parcel entertained a circle of around 40 children, while it was hard to pick a winner at the musical statues. The dancing competitions allowed everyone to strut their stuff along to some funky Christmas tunes with jester and our head elf handing out a number of prizes. Pin the nose on Rudolph proved to be no problem for our Christmas fanatics, all taking home some Christmas candy. A fantastic way to kick off the festive season for everyone involved!!! Huge thanks to Emma for another fabulous Children's Christmas Party, we can't wait till next year.
