The time had came for one of the Technip Corporate Activity Days events in the form of the annual themed fireworks evening, held at the fantastic Mercure Ardoe House Hotel. The guests were welcomed into the venue which was themed in a Minion, Scooby-Doo and Monsters University theme. The guests made their way into the hotel and were welcomed by life size Minions which provided a fantastic photo opportunity and were then escorted down the hall into the entrance room where they were then sent through the minion into the Halloween themed walk through which brought them out into the themed main room where the guests could have their picture taken with characters, they could also have their face painted in anticipation for the fireworks display. As the guests arrived through the walk through it was made clear that a lot of effort had been made dressing up this year! We had delights such as Minions, Wonder Woman, Spidermen and even Elsa from frozen!

The guests were then given a short safety briefing before being asked to head outside onto the front lawn of the hotel to watch the firework display, the guests were treated to bright flashes of colours and also large explosions of light in the skies above, all of which they watched through their safety glass covered eyes. The firework display ended and the guests made their way back inside the hotel and warmed up before the fantastic buffet was served by Ardoe House Hotel. After dinner the children were invited to play some party games! First up it was ‘Dooking for apples with a difference’ instead of putting your head in a bucket of water to get an apple, the kids had to bite off the apple which was suspended from a bar above, there were apples swinging everywhere and children chasing them around with their mouths like never before. The next game was stick the nose on Scooby-Doo, the children lined up and one by one they tried to stick Scoobys nose back on while blindfolded, some children seemed to loose sense of direction and were sticking Scoobys nose on in places that noses don't belong!

The next thing on the agenda was the fancy dress parade! where all the children lined up and were lead around the room by the magical wizard and this gave our two minion the chance to see all the costumes so they could pick the best dressed boy and the best dressed girl. It was then time to sit and enjoy the magic show, who gave the children a short amazing mind boggling magic show, which all the children loved! Sadly the night had to come to a end after the magicians show but before everyone left there was one last photo opportunity with the minions and also a goodie bag for the kids. We here at Team Challenge Company would like to say a massive thank you to both Scott and Stephanie for making the night happen and also to everyone for attending, we look forward to seeing you all again!
