A great afternoon was had by all at Oaktree Housing Association for their morning of Country Pursuits and their fun filled quiz afternoon. The teams were split into 8 groups to take on their challenges and compete against each other to earn the most points and be the team to take home the coveted Team Challenge Company trophy, the team in last place will leave with our Team Challenge Company wooden spoon.

As the team’s head outside to take on their first challenge they were full of team spirit and getting right into the excitement of what lay ahead.

On the first rotation we had 2 teams take on Archery and 2 teams at Axe Throwing, neither of the teams had done any of the activities before so was great excitement for them all. We had 2 teams at Chip Shot Golf and 2 on the Segway challenge. There were squeals of excitement as the teams tried to keep their balance and stay upright. After the teams taking on a few practice shots it was time to build up those points. Only a few people were able to land the axe on the target, they all had great time trying. We had some Robin Hoods over at archery, especially for nobody having done it before they were all pretty close to the target.

We had a pop the balloon competition on the archery where extra points were added for popping the balloon; this was placed on the target in different places and got smaller at every try. We had 2 people pop the balloon and earn extra points for their team.

After the rotations were complete the teams head over to Laser Clay’s for an all team competition, everyone loved the morning activities and there was great excitement as we head back inside for some warm soup and sandwiches to fuel our brains ready for the quiz in the afternoon.

After a warm lunch and a brisk walk it was time for the quiz to begin, staying in the same teams from the morning session the teams were ready to begin. Our first round is our popular ice breaker Hit or Miss, all the teams were up on their feet and ready to guess wither a song was a number 1 hit or a miss. As we progressed through the songs we had less and less team members still on their feet, not many music people in this crowd!

As we progressed through the rounds the team’s were on the edge of their seat guessing the answers to each round, some team members forgetting that it was an individual team game and with the excitement would belt out the answers.

With bonus rounds added in we had both sides of the room battling it out against each other for those extra points, wearing their blue corner and red corner robes the team’s were chanting their team colours in support of each other.

A wonderful afternoon of Indoor Team Building had been thoroughly enjoyed by all in attendance, as our guests departed with big smiles and lots of high-5s. A big shout out and thank you must go to Louise for all her hard work in organising such a brilliant event. We very much hope that the entire Sky team had a fantastic afternoon with us, and very much hope to see you all again soon for the rematch.
