The Maryculter House Hotel was the setting for an afternoon of Country Pursuits activities with an enthusiastic group of clients from Shell. Both teams were competing head to head on Archery, Laser Clay Pigeon Shooting and Inflatable Chip Shot Golf. Thankfully the weather held off for most of the clear, beautiful but cold afternoon, where team Tandulkar Tigers and Susies Snowmen got off to a flying start with some accurate Archery and Inflatable Chip Shot Golf scores to kick off and it was Game on!

The Tigers kept their cool on the Archery, hitting some big numbers and laying down the gauntlet for the rest of the day. Susies Snowmen were also great competitors on the Archery with some awesome Robin Hood style arrows but their golf was – well lets just say not up to par! Team Tigers chipped in with an impressive score on the Inflatable Chip Shot Golf, while the Snowmen asked if their golfing handicap could be added to their final score...not a chance! Both teams stepped up to the Laser Clay Pigeon Shooting challenge and didn’t disappoint, Susies Snowmen pulled this one out of the bag with a fantastic performance from the entire team and claimed a great win here.
Both teams competed whole heartedly, with a great deal of enthusiasm and with some great laughs along the way. As the Scottish weather began to chill towards the end of the day, we retreated to the function suite where we would find out who would be taking home the Team Challenge Company Trophy. First however, there was the Bridge Build challenge where both teams stepped up and amazingly… both crossed much to our amazement – who knew!! Taking home the wooden spoon and in runners up position were Susies Snowmen Tandulkar Tigers proved to be the victors with 1512 points to 1482 points and were delighted to be top dogs- just look at their photos! Thank you to Dave and Justine from Shell for organising this event and we hope to see you soon for the rematch!

This lovely group of people have invented a new sport....Snow Golf. With tammies and boots on, both teams pitched in fantastic scores on the chip shot golf, with only 1 ball ending up in the river!!! A fantastic, fun day for everyone involved. Some cracking pictures and no cheating from anyone..... well almost haha. You know who you are. Hope to see you again when its a bit warmer!
