The legendary Wentworth Golf Club played magnificent host to our latest corporate entertainment ideas, Executive Quiz evening, with a group of 24 from software giant’s Dell. Three teams would battle it out to take home the much sought after Team Challenge Company Winner’s Trophy. The Masters Suite, a fitting location for the finale of what had already been a fun filled competitive day. The trials and tribulations of the longest drive and closest to the pin competitions were now a distant memory as the teams set their sights on a new target! The Shy Teds, Norfolk and Chance and team Brown Nose were all looking to walk away with top prize. Hit or Miss was a miss for most as the tunes rolled in. Eddie Grant and Sheryl Crow throwing a few off. The Final Four presented themselves front and centre to a tumultuous applause from the rest of the group. Each team was represented, all eager to get their first points on the board. Justin Timberlake’s sexy back was the song. Katrina from team Norfolk and Chance was the only one thinking it was a hit. It was make or break even at this early stage. Out there on her own, going against the grain and not feeling the pressure of her peers she took a chance..... And it paid off! The early front runners were Norfolk and Chance as the group enjoyed their starter.

Keen to make up for a slow start the Brown Noses and The Shy Teds were hot in their heels in the following rounds. Guess who providing a few belly laughs as an extremely dodgy looking Russell Crowe picture took the wind out of their sales. Confidence was restored for The Brown Noses though as they roared back into contention with a 9 out of 10 performance. The Shy Teds were yet to make a lasting impression as the landmark round came along. The hardest one of all in our opinion. Again they posted a below average score to consolidate a lethargic start to the evening. After a lavish main course and desert the teams were raring to go. All looking for consistency in the remaining rounds. Guess the Movie Quote revealed one of Mark, from The Brown Noses, favourite movies as being dazed and confused. He was a throng but as the movie buff helped them along to comfortably taking this round. Shy Teds were certainly confused as again they struggled. The team held hope in the fact the Questions in Sport was still to come, their specialist round so the others were told. Logo Mix tested the keenest of eyes and was kind to The Shy Teds. This time, The Brown Noses were faltering slightly. Norfolk and Chance conferred intensely as the rounds rolled into Questions in Sport. They aced every question except which two soccer teams play at the Allianz arena. To which they replied the blue one! Just a small lack of detail there! Good try though.

In the hotly anticipated finale of the evening, the Music Round, one teams fate had already been sealed with two in a head to head for first place. Drumbeats, piano riffs and guitar solos came and went with our music lovers barely able to contain their excitement as they managed to recognise a few as they ticked by. Norfolk and Chance’s claim to fame was recognising the mighty AQUAs ‘Doctor Jones’ one hit wonder record! And they had the dance moves to match. Was this enough to win our illustrious title however? After all was said and done, banter, bickering and laughter the big losers were The Shy Teds who were expecting it... Out their seats to grab the Wooden Spoon before the announcement! Unlucky guys! In second position missing out on top spot by just 120 points were Norfolk and Chance who have themselves a good chance but just didn't do enough to come home victorious. The one and only Brown Noses were top dogs on this occasion walking away with 650 points! A tremendous haul! They were the big trophy winners. The American contingent, Mark, taking home the USAs first and only trophy of the week!!! www.teamchallenge-company.co.uk say Well done to everyone! Thank you so much to Jackie for arranging such a fantastic event.
