After a night of celebrations at the Macdonald Cardrona Hotel, a group of recent graduates from Glasgow Dental Student Society were welcomed to an It’s a Knockout Team Building extravaganza.

Our team put them through their paces with a series of hilarious races and competitive inflatable challenges. The 8 teams were energised from the off as our very own Mrs Motivator led them through a team Warm Up to get the competition flowing, and with an excellent team roar the first bonus points were given to the mighty Dark Blue Team.

There were so many highlights from the afternoon including the Cerese Team’s Karaoke to Shawn Mendes and the moment when Declan danced his way to a shout out for the DJ Alan in appreciation of his tunes.

Amy and the Mincers showing their true colours in the Clown Around Space Hopper Dash was a definite highlight, as was the dubious spelling of some of the teams! The Light Blue Team proved to have a Maradonna in their team with their skills on the Human Table Football but they were not quite so light footed when it came to the Sumo Wrestling Suits.

After a merciless soaking for all teams the Obstacle Skis Finale really pushed the teams to perform as they chanted their way to a synchronised step, or not so synchronised as the case proved for some teams...! When all teams crossed the finish line it was time for the scores on the doors with some very close results.

In last place claiming the Wooden Spoon with 6450 points was the Lime Green Team. Team Yellow finished in 7th Place with 6550 while Team Orange edged ahead with 6750. Team Dark Blue made it to 5th Place with 6900 and Team Cerise finished in 4th with 7250. The 3rd Place spot went to Team Light Blue with 7350 with Team Baby Pink finishing as the runners up on 7950. The champions taking home the Team Challenge Company Winners’ Trophy was Team Forest Green with a whopping 8300!

Well done to all teams who took part with such enthusiasm and a massive thank you to Ainsley and Rachael for working so hard to put the weekend together and more importantly managing to keep it a secret! It was a pleasure for our team to work with you all and wish you all the best with your future careers in dentistry.
