The wonderful backdrop of Forresters Park Golf Course played home to this year’s fun-filled and uber-competitive team building away day for the team at Quaker Oats, which this year took the form of our brand new GPS Treasure Hunt.

As our guests arrived on a warm July morning and prepared to do battle for the second year in a row in a bid to take home the Team Challenge Company Winner’s Trophy, we all knew that another great day of team building fun lay ahead of us.Our GPS Treasure Hunt around the front nine holes of Forresters Park Golf Course would see each of our team being provided with their very own tablet which was pre-loaded with our Go Team GPS Treasure Hunt App, and on which we had designed a bespoke treasure trail for our Quaker Oats guests to enjoy and compete in throughout the morning and afternoon, all in an effort to be crowned champions.

The Treasure Hunt led teams around the course, challenging them to answer cryptic questions, take part in photo and video challenges, find secret locations and have a crack at completing some fun challenges and questions that focused on their own team at Quaker Oats. Above all this, there were numerous team building tasks to complete throughout the day, ensuring that there was plenty to keep our teams on their toes throughout the away-day.

There were so many highlights from our GPS Treasure Hunt event with Quaker Oats, far too many to mention – however, we have included some of our most favourite moments from the day below. Over at the ever challenging Rollerball activity, we had The Chief Stirrers record an incredible time of 58 seconds, taking maximum points – what an effort that was! Things weren't so good for Team 13 Lucky for Some, however, who were suitably embarrassed by their dreadful Rollerball time...so embarrassed in fact that it would be unfair to shame them even more by including their time of 0 seconds in this blog. If you want a laugh, however, you should definitely ask them...! Real So So Bad proved genius engineers at the Casket Rescue challenge, whilst Run Forrest Run were massive hot-shots at the Laser Clay Pigeon Shooting Station…so much so we think they might have been practicing ever since last year!

Crane Construction proved a big hit with our teams, as ‘The Winners’ (please note, not the actual winners, they were just very confident when naming themselves!) reached sensational heights, as did The Invincible’s, whereas The Misfits and Born to Ride struggled to really create a solid base for their structure, and ended up towards the bottom of the pile. Stepping Stones saw more than a few teams cosy up to each other on the planks of wood as they made their way across the course – this really was a true test of teamwork, and wow did the Quaker Oats team perform! Remarkable efforts across the board from all the teams, with special mentions going to Team Awesome(ish), The Untouchables and Relentless 9 for their sensational strategies in making progress through the course.

As all our teams arrived back at base at around 3.00pm, they were greeted with rolling photos on the big screen of all the teams throughout the day – a great opportunity to see what everybody had been up to, and how each team had gone about completing their various GPS Treasure Hunt Challenges. As the photos whirled round, our final scores were counted and verified, and it was with a sense of eager anticipation that our guests listened in to the final results…! Propping up the pile in 15th place, and taking home the Wooden Spoon was the Untouchables, with a final score of 1073 points. The entire final table was very close throughout, with the top 3 comprised of Team 9 in 3rd spot with 1740 points, and Team Awesome(ish) just missing out on top spot with 1980 points. However, the victors could not be stopped, and the Team Challenge Company Winner’s Trophy went to the mighty Relentless 9 with 2266 points – what a bunch of legends!

A massive shout out and thank you must go to Tara and Jane for their amazing efforts in organising such a fun-filled and successful away-day for the entire team at Quaker Oats – it really was a pleasure to work with you all again, and we certainly look forward to catching you again next year for the re-match, when both Tara and Jane will be hoping it will be their year for taking home the top prize!

What a great day! We had a fantastic time working with you all again and receiving some of your very funny answers and photos from the GPS Treasure hunt. Team Invincible covered a whopping 11km during their day! I hope you all enjoyed your day as much as we did. Well Done!

What an absolute pleasure, as always, to work with Tara, Jane and the entire Quaker Oats team on what was a fun-filled and super competitive day of team building in the shape of our GPS Treasure Hunt. My personal highlights include a genius 'photo of a rubber duck', lots of people finding themselves in bunkers, and the way Relentless 9 celebrated their victory in style, what legends! I really hope you all enjoyed your time with us again this year, and very much hope to see you all again soon for the re-match!

What fun it was spending a glorious sunny day with the group! We had some great teams on the Stepping Stones and Tony's leadership style ('just give it a bash') definitely added some hilarity to the day. Well done all!
