The guys from BSkyB were back again but this time for something different at Garvock House Hotel in Dunfermline. Their day of team building came in the form of a Team Challenge Company, indoor team building activities, of 'Bush Tucker, Survive the Jungle' trial! As everyone arrived we thought it would be a great idea to get some team names together. It was safe to say that what we had was certainly creative. We went around the room and heard the names which were Shona's Snappy Crocodiles, The Jungle Jim’s, When's Lunch?, Mother Truckers, the Big Hairy’s and Laura's Locusts, With Robie taking on the role of both Ant and Dec, the team started off the day with a bit of an ice breaker that we like to call Oz or Out! With some crazy names in there it was tough to see whether they were real places in Australia or whether we had just had a giggle making up a few!

After the easy start to the day it was time to go for the proper Bush Tucker Trial and it certainly couldn't be a bush tucker without a couple of bugs! One person from each team took to the front and eagerly awaited some tasty bugs to be put in front of them. Some of them (Jackie) couldn't wait to try the mealworms and went for it before we even started! Don't worry though guys, she had some tic-tacs throughout the day to get rid of the buggy breath! Luckily everyone managed to munch their way through the mealworms with none making a surprise appearance in the bucket we kept close by their feet, an achievement by itself. Safari Surprise was our next challenge where a team member risked a box full of something nasty to dig deep for a Gold Star to take home to their team. Across the day there were more bugs and it's safe to say they got bigger. After crickets, grasshoppers and scorpions, there were huge rhino beetles. At the very end of the day there was the Bush Tucker Bar Challenge, where a selection of bugs were thrown together with some hot chilli sauce into a glass and people had the chance to down it for another Gold Star for their team! To break away from some of our horrible challenges we had some fun things thrown in as well, including the musical special Boomwhackers where the Virtuosos proved themselves. The Jungle Jim’s in particular showed off a theatrical side with Kelly up in the air for their performance! It was safe to say they were naturals!

Another challenge we threw in was the Giraffe Build, where there was a talking point over the fact that one team in particular, naming no names, (Jungle Jim’s) used a rat as the body for their giraffe! Cheating will not be tolerated! There was also the Build a Bush Tucker Hat Challenge where we expected a little bit of a presentation to go with their hats. Taking away an extra star from this challenge was When's Lunch for their overall score but one team deserves a mention for their fantastic presentation, you nearly had us buying the hat from you! Well done Mother Truckers! To put even more of an Australian twist on the day, there was the Didgeridoo Contest where John was a true champ and had the whole room clapping along with him!

At the very end of the day it was time for the scores, and time to see who was taking away the Team Challenge Company Winners Trophy and the dreaded Wooden Spoon! Taking the bottom spot with barely more than memories was Shona's Snappy Crocodiles! They fought hard but unfortunately someone had to come last! In our top spot with a fantastic score was When's Lunch! Although we didn't give them many points for picking a name, they made their way through every challenge with ease and took home the trophy! It was yet another fantastic day for BSkyB and a big thanks goes out to Mark, Jen and Ruth for not only organising it but also for taking part as our Bushtucker Judges across the day! If you're not happy with your scores you know who to go too!

What a brave bunch! Well done to everyone who managed to eat some horrible bugs, especially those who managed the Rhino Beetles. You're braver than I am that's for sure!
