Team Challenge Company had the great pleasure of delivering a fantastic and fun-filled afternoon of team building for a brilliant team from Baillie Gifford, as they took to the Christmassy streets of Edinburgh to compete in our incredibly popular GPS Interactive Treasure Hunt event.

There was definitely a sense of nervous anticipation in the room as our guests came back from an afternoon conference to be briefed on their activity, but any pre-match nerves were quickly washed away as the 4 teams were handed their tablets and they headed out the doors (most of them in a sprint!) to start their city adventure!

There were so many brilliant highlights throughout the afternoon, far too many to mention, but we have included some of our favourite below and would be delighted to hear your greatest highlights in the comments section below.

From an early teasing of a certain Hibs fan, through to Team Cadchick’s incredible rendition of ‘Let it Go’, and from the sensational press up effort by Team Jo’s Jokers right through to the fastest finger first tweeting from Team Won, the afternoon really was one to remember. My own personal highlights included the brilliant ‘superhero pose’ photos from all teams, as well as a certain Fresh Prince of Bel Air rap by the mighty Lisa – who really gave it everything, including a few Hip Hop dance moves!

As our teams arrived through the doors of our end destination – The Place - and handed back their tablets, there was a huge anticipation as to which team would walk away victorious. Before the trophy presentation, our guests enjoyed viewing all the photos from all teams throughout the day, many of which were greeted with big cheers (and plenty of laughter!), and which really brought all the entertainment of the afternoon to a grand finale!

The videos were hilarious, we loved what has now been called ‘the worst Fresh Prince rap ever’, as well as a certain video by the Cadchicks that was supposed to represent a scene out of the movie Titanic – but really could have been from a completely different type of movie!

It was then time for what we had all been waiting for – to find out which team would be crowned champions! But first, we had the Wooden Spoon presentation, which went to Team Won with a final score of 1990 points! In 3rd position, with 2080 points was Jo’s Jokers, with The Cadchicks just missing out on top spot with 2170 points. But in the end, the much-coveted Team Challenge Company Winner’s Trophy went to the top-notch Hibbie Hunters with a huge score of 2230 points – SENSATIONAL!

All in all, a fantastic afternoon of team building had been enjoyed the entire Baillie Gifford team, and our GPS Interactive Treasure Hunt and proved a big success! A massive shout out and thank you must go to Lisa and Stewart for all their efforts in organising such a brilliant afternoon – well done to you both. We very much hope the entire Baillie Gifford team enjoy flicking through all the photos and videos from the day – hope these bring back some great memories, and very much hope to see you all again soon for the re-match!
