Team Building with Virgin Trains

What better way to get your team working together than sit them in a boat and get them rowing in rhythm to the beat of a drum while shouting One! Two! One!Two, well that’s what the team at Virgin trains got up to with us and to make it even more exciting they came ready in full costume.

Teams like Baywatch, Elephant Heads, Green lantern and the Pink Flamingos were just some who battled it out on a beautiful Autumns day at Willen Lake in Milton Keynes perfect for London Team Building.

Each team had two opportunities to post up their fastest time on the board and after that one team would get eliminated while the others battled it out for positions.  Once all the time trails were over the teams stopped for a BBQ lunch to fuel the tired bodies and then gathered around to find out who didn’t make the cut.

My heart told me they already knew however we announced it to some applause and some even more boos, The Green Team didn’t make it and there Team Building experience was over however they were still keen to cheer on the other teams which was very graceful.

The top two teams took to the water The Blue Team AKA Little Mermaids and the Yellow Team AKA Minions, the rest of us lined the bank and waited for the air horn to blow.  The battle was head to head the entire length and only .15 of a second separated them.  Ladies and Gentlemen the winners Team Minions.

They celebrated in style and that put a wonderful end to a great day of team building Dragon Boat style, big thank you to Mark for organising and of course practicing all week haha and keep up the team work it was an impressive sight the way you increased your times all afternoon.  We will be seeing you very soon carriage D seat 34A !!

It was a pleasure to be involved in pulling this fantastic event together, and working with Mark and the rest of the team in designing a fun, engaging and enjoyable day for all. It certainly seems that everyone on the day enjoyed themselves, and a highly competitive spirit was on show throughout! Very much looking forward to the next opportunity we have to work with Virgin Trains, where there will no doubt be a hotly contested re-match for all!
