Team Challenge Company had the pleasure of an afternoon Team Building session with the amazing group from Hymans Robertson at the stunning Ardgryffe Manor - with a bit of a twist!
This group doesn’t like to do anything traditional so this afternoon was Wild West Themed. As the team members arrived the costumes were amazing; we had cowboys, sheriffs and of course cowgirls. As the group was spilt up it was time for an all important warm up, but this time it was a line dance.
The Laser Clay Pigeon Shooting was our first activity of the day. The team captains stepped up in the aim of taking away those all important points from this round that would take them one step close to the Team Challenge Company Winners Trophy. There were two heats in the competition. Teams 1, 2, 3 and 4 were up first. It was a close call between team 2 and team 3 but team 2 smashed it and took home the 1000 points. In the second heat were teams 5, 6, 7 and 8. Team 5 blew the rest out of the water and were this heats winners.
The battle at the Hoopla was fierce! As the teams frantically ran picking up hoops trying to gain all the points they could, it ended on a draw with an impressive 14 hoops hit. There was a one vs. one battle between Team 2, where John McDonald stepped up, and Team 8 where JP stepped up.
Each contestant was given three hoops but who would be the champion of this round?
JP was first and managed to get 1 hoop on. The pressure was on for John to get two or more. The first one was a success as his whole team got behind him and cheered him on. He successfully managed to get a second one and took home the points!!
It was now time for the finale - the Horse Build competition. The aim in this round is to build the tallest free standing and most realistic horse but only using the materials provided. I am still not sure if Team 7 got the memo as they only scored a measly 7 inches!
In the end we managed to get two amazing horses both tall and at least representing a horse. Team 3’s horse was a massive 40 inches but Team 5 just beat them with 43 inches and won the final round!
The scores were checked and verified, but who had gained the most points throughout the day and would be taking home the Team Challenge Company Winners Trophy? And who would take home the dreaded wooden spoon?!
1st- Team 5 with 5600 points
2nd- Team 3 with 5400 points
3rd- Team 1 with 5200 points
4th- Team 2 with 5100 points

6th- Team 7 with 4700 points
