Eureka Solutions

The Brief

Software company, Eureka Solutions, wanted an event with ‘wow factor’ to reward hard-working staff and generate a feeling of camaraderie to maintain the company’s excellent staff retention record. Another critical requirement was that the final destination for the event had to remain secret until the very last minute. Eureka Solutions had attempted to keep event venues secret before but had struggled to keep things quiet from their tech-savvy staff.

The Solution

Our team developed a 50-mile long treasure hunt across Scotland to #DestinationUnknown, where delegates accessed clues and challenges using our award-winning GoTeam GPS Interactive Treasure Hunt app on their phone. Delegates could choose from hundreds of potential routes on the day, and we believe it is one of the most complex events ever attempted using the GoTeam software. Checkpoints along the way included Stirling Castle, Andy Murray’s Golden post-box in Dunblane and Hampden Park and tasks from recreating movie scenes such as Rocky and Titanic to gundog training and falconry. The event was rounded off with a glamourous James Bond themed casino evening to fit with the delegates’ day of being super sleuths at one of the UK’s most luxurious venues, the world-famous 5 star Gleneagles Hotel in Perthshire.

The Outcome

“A great big thanks from all at Eureka. As we get feedback from our team and guests, they all comment on Team Challenge Company – enthusiasm and stamina being the two most used words. The team that started at East Kilbride at 8 am were still enthusiastic at 1 am the following morning – incredible. There were legends created at the event! The excitement generated from the away day will be felt well into the next year. Staff were hugely appreciative, and it will be a talking point for months.”
